Anyone know what Matt Hughes said while he was verbally submitting?
What did Luiz Cane do to get disqualified?

He was yelling "TAP!" Don't know about the other guy.

yeah, Hughes yelled TAP...Pitbull has the gif in his sig. Scroll down about half way:

As for your other question....here's an MMA Weekly wrapup from the Live Results link:
As Irvin was trying to get up with his knees still on the mat, Cane throws an illegal knee strike that floors Irvin. Fight is stopped because Irvin cannot continue after the illegal strike. Irvin has to be helped out of the Octagon. Irvin wins by Disqualification.

Irvins fights always seem to end weird. A long time ago he won by an awesome flying knee. Then his last fight he got TKO'd cause his knee blew out and then this fight he won by DQ after he got knocked out cause of an illegal knee. Wonder what will happen next time...

There's also that fight in OnetwoPunches avatar, where Irvin thought he ko the guy, but the ref didn't see it that way, so he follow up with a swift kick to ribs and an elbow to the head. Irvin does has some weird luck.

another reason why knees to the head should be allowed to a grounded opponent, to many use the knees on the mat as a cop out to getting finished.
