Ahhh, Hampton. What a great guy. Quiet as a field mouse off the field. Always a smile but quiet. Which was good because Dave Meggett was more than loud enough to make up for Hampton's shyness. The guy was a blast!
Great win by the G-men, but damn my stomach was churning with the 'Boys inside the 20 with 21 seconds to play. You can't help but feel the worst could happen.
Eli played within himself and did not get flustered. He moved in the pocket and was effective. Romo was the complete opposite, tightening up as the game came to crunch time. Getting hit was not to his liking, as evidenced by him throwing the ball away a couple of times when no one was even near him. Marion Barber is a horse, but why did Dallas go so far away from him in the 2nd half? They gave him the ball in obvious running situations only. There were times in the 2nd half when you just knew they were only going to throw the ball and the defense could just go after him. I think Dallas' playcalling was off in the 2nd, relying too much on the pass. Which is odd because I have the utmost respect for Jason Garrett and his playcalling.
On to Green Bay. To me the best part is that now regardless of who wins next week, I'll have someone to root for as GB is one of those teams I root for after the Giants. Both will be prohibitive underdogs to the Pats, but at least I can root for one. A Cowboys-Pats Super Bowl would have been a killer for me as they are the two teams I dislike the most in the NFL.
