vegas... if you are looking to get back in to shape, heavier gloves will benefit you. 16oz training gloves are good "all around" gloves for hitting bags, pads, and people. Personally I use Fairtex BGV1 Training gloves but there are a lot of good options out there.

I prefer mexican style wraps but know some people who swear by gel wraps. Especially those who get sore knuckles from punching bags. Combat sports makes a pretty good Gel Shock Handwrap that incorporates 120" of elastic wrap in addition to the standard "gel glove"
