As with anything, the more you do it the better you get. You can make improvements in Muay Thai training only once a week. Especially if you're physically active during the rest of the week. After awhile you could begin doing some bag work at home if you have a heavy bag. The bottom line is that to be really good at something you have to commit yourself to it. If you're just looking to have some fun then i say one day a week is fine.
