nog looked terrible in 1 & 2, but man did he redeem himself in round 3! That's how I like to see a ground fighter beat a striker. He changed his TD strategy, got a great sweep and a sick guillotine.
He needs a dominant victory to truly take the HW title (I don't see Randy coming back), but this was a good start.

For how that first round went some people have to respect Sylvia at least a little more, sucks for him though because he came out and did what the fans wanted him to do and he lost. Oh yeah I now understand why people think Nog is top 10, that was a great comeback.

I thought to myself after R2 that we might see a Crocop/Nog esque fight. Sylvia is just so damn awkward.
Im happy for Nog, but man that divison is depleted.

I have no more respect for Sylvia, but I gotta say he should get an immediate rematch. They should rescind that Werdum offer (which was BS anyway).

Classic Nog. He had me up jumping around the living room. Amazing toughness in that man.

You had to know that was coming. That wasn't half the punishment that Mirko put on him when he pulled of that sub.

How does he take so much punishment. Awesome sweep and great end to the fight. I was pumped. How long do you think he will have the title for?

Agreed on the awesome sweep - that was beautiful to watch. This should be submission of the night in my opinion, since it had a pretty sweet lead-up. I don't even wanna talk about the Mir/Lesnar submission, because the point deduction prior to the leg-lock was bull****.

I was glad to see Nog win. I respect Tim's game more too and was really surprised Tim dominated him on their feet, but you knew it was just a matter of time till Nog got him down and got control.

I am so happy for Nog, I think I hugged everyone at the party when he pulled that out. He seems like such an awesome humble person.

So we should just not think twice about stuff like that, so long as the fight ends up in favour of the opposite fighter? Come on, now
