Quite possibly yes. If he doesn't think he can adapt to the cage I don't blame him for leaving. Why would he stick around and lose more fights? This has all got me flustered lol. No matter what I'll always be a huge CC fan and nothing will change that.
I see on other forums that a lot of fair weather fans are coming out of the woodwork, I hope I don't see the same thing here!

This sucks bad, if true.

I have a hard time believing CC would be the one pursuing this strongly. We'll just have to wait what he (and the UFC) have to say.
Right now, I think it's more likely that the UFC did in fact want him gone or to take a pay-cut, when he can get a lot more elsewhere. Why should he do that?
Would that make him a coward? I doubt he fears facing anybody in the HW division, as seen many times before. I would love to see him fight a bunch of the UFC heavyweights, but you can't expect him to do that on any terms.
And "shameful attempt"? Going a bit overboard there, buddy. What's so shameful about losing?

Let the hating begin!
This isn't even confirmed yet. Even if it is true we have no idea as to why he is leaving. To say he is "ducking competition" or something along those lines is plain ignorant imo. I don't get why people are so quick to jump on people like CC and Fedor when they don't do what you want them to do.

I was joking around first off.
I agree, Dana looks like a huge prick if this is true. Pot kettle black Dana? Not honoring contracts.
I do have zero interest in seeing Crocop Barnett 4 thou. Hopefully this will lead to a Arlovski, Sylvia, Fedor 2, Monson series for Crocop.

The most incredible aspect about all of this is that Crocop fought three UFC fights in one year and yet none of them were against Couture, Arlovski, Sylvia or Vera. No one could have predicted that.
I feel cheated. Since Couture and AA are out, I'd still love to see Crocop versus either Sylvia or Vera.

Don't go Mirko you have many more great fights ahead of you in UFC. Mirko and Tim is the one I like to see most. Or CC vs Vera and any one willing to stand and trade with him.

I'm hoping Mirko signs with M1, and then KOs Fedor. Man, would that cause a riot or what?

I would say if just about anyone beat Fedor, there be a riot. These days it seems people either love him or hate him.
I would never count Mirko out of any fight, thats for sure.

I hope Mirko goes wherever he is happy. The cage just isn't for him.
Back to K1 or even M1 would be good. Some are predicting he'll go World Victory Road.

Sooner or later he will loose
Most fighters are able to stay on top for like 1-2 years. Fedor have been there for like 6-7? That is really unusual. In my eyes he is allready the greatest ever.Even if he never fight again he is.

Another report/rumor:
Quote:
As reported yesterday, Mirko Cro Cop is going to be in Japan today at a press conference to make an announcement regarding his future. What we didn’t know was what the announcement was going to be, but now Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Cro Cop is going to be at a press conference that’ll be held by FEG. The Fighting Entertainment Group (FEG) actually owns K-1 and its sub-division HERO’s. FEG was going to hold a press conference today prior to the Cro Cop announcement but now it only makes sense that he would be in Japan today.
A translation of K-1 HERO’s official website says, “big-time athletes are scheduled to fight in an emergency visit to Japan” and by “fight” we assume that it actually means appear at the press conference.
I’m sure you’re all wondering “isn’t Mirko Cro Cop under contract with the UFC?” The simple answer is yes, but Meltzer is reporting that the UFC has been in the process of attempting to restructure Mirko’s contract which would force him to take a paycut. Obviously nobody would willingly give up money so it looks like the UFC may let the former PRIDE open weight Grand Prix champion out of his six-fight deal after only three fights.
We’ll have more details on this situation as we get it, but for now it looks like the next Mirko Cro Cop fight we’ll see will be in a ring and not a cage.

Have you lost respect for all fighters who have lost 2 in a row?
