Going to buy a new game, Suggestions?
This is for the PC. My PS2 broke a long time ago. My wife refuses to let me buy a PS3 since I dropped an assload on my video card. I had a job for a few months and got something esle, so they sent me my 401k contributions. It was $50, so I am looking for a game to buy and have no clue what I will get. Suggestions?

Call of Duty 4 if you like First person shooter games.
The Orange box is a rather fun experience too for FPS games.
World in Conflict is a decent Strategy game too.
BioShock is an AMAZING FPS game, but it is only single player, and once you beat the game, there is little replay ability. But that first time through is amazing, the game is truly a masterpiece.
Also, what video card do you have and what genre of games are you interested in?, it will help gauge what games to suggest. I know that Call of Duty 4, World in Conflict, and Bioshock all have demos, so I suggest you give them a try.

I'd say Orange Box or Crysis. Crysis takes ridiculous system specs to run though, might wanna check that out.

I couldn't agree more. All those games are awesome. CoD4 is just sick!
Crysis is a graphics whore! Its barely playable on my rig with high settings at 1680x1050(runs great on med. settings, but I think I need to reinstall XP, Vista is a slut). It looks pretty but its an alright game at best. I'd still go with CoD4 or WiC first.

I'm leaning to COD4. Anyone played the new Unreal Tournament? I hate going to buy a game. It is like pulling teeth. I'm always torn on what to get.

Dont buy Crysis, overrated rubbish...Its all about graphics...story is shocking, brings nothing new to the table what so ever. Buy COD4, best fps online ever.

I think Unreal Tournament is just to fast paced. It gives me a headache. I would stick with COD4

Anyone know of any games that are like God of War for Xbox360. I loved that game and I can't seem to find a good game on 360 that's a button masher with a great story line...

Devil May Cry 4, it just came out.
COD4 is nowhere near the best online FPS. Ever hear of Counter Strike or Team Fortress 2? Day of Defeat? Lol.

Rofl, I was going to post the exact same thing. Well, minus the DMC4 part.
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING. Will ever do for the gaming world what CS has done, it single handedly changed the way online FPS were made. When a game is 10+ years old and is still played by thousands on a daily basis, you know it's an outstanding game. I've played CoD4 online and while I'll admit it's a good game it is far from being the best fps.
Oh and TF2 and DoD are t3h 1337ness also. :P

Alright, I went with Unreal Tournament 3. The reason I didn't buy COD4 is I still play BF2 and it seemed pointless to buy a fps that is so similar. UT3 is different. I also bought the expansion pack to Medieval II. The worst part is with work and school, I have very little time for the games. Thanks for the input everyone.

The more I think about it, the more I am considering returning UT3 and getting COD4. I'm a bit torn.

I liked Cod4's multiplayer a lot more. Also, there is pretty much no point in playing Unreals "singleplayer"; where Call of Duty 4 has a pretty good, but short single player. The player base right now is much larger on Cod4, it seems a lot of Unreal players have not made the switch from unreal2004 yet.
