I would agree with this interpretation. Silva views the UFC title as the legitimate Middleweight title.
I don't like the comments that he doesn't want to move up in weight. When you overpower and dominate a division what is the point in moving down a weight class. The problem when you get used to winning is you become more afraid of losing. He really needs to move up, and I have a feeling Dana will show him the money to do it as it would be a massive draw. Chuck vs Silva?? That would be a slugfest.
