People need to quit talking about him changing weight like its a walk in the park and realize there are still a bunch of fights for him at 185 that can occupy him for atleast 2 years.
Okami 2 REALLY should happen and I am amped to see it.
Filho, even thou they train together would be fun to watch.
Lindland, why the hell not?
Chonan, we all know how the UFC loves guys avenging losses.
As much as I hate to say it, Cote and Leben are both on semi winning streaks and could be viable options if they keep winning.
Give Bisping 2 wins at 185 and feed him to the Spider as a headliner in the UK PLEASE!!

Man this fight was incredible, Ive stopped being surprised by how good Silva is long ago...I kind of expect to be blown away by something in his fights now!
Fairplay to Dan tho, some of those huge overhand shots he threw were landing on Silva....just not doing any damage! I truly expected Dan to miss with those shots, just goes to back up how good Silva's chin is.
I also noticed that as soon as Silva got the thai clinch and landed 2 clean knees in the 2nd it was the beginning of the end. Kind of made me chuckle as I remember an interview with Dan from after the 2nd Silva/Franklin fight where Dan said if Silva got him in a clinch then he'd dump him on his head!

And there's still speculation of Wanderlei Silva moving down to MW. If he does move down he'd be a definite threat to Anderson Silva.

Sure, they can occupy him.
But people want interesting fights/fights that possibly could happen.
-Okami... meh OK, I guess.
-Filho won't fight him and is moving up to LHW.
-Lindland, why the hell not? Because UFC is not signing him, that's why.
And because Hendo presented a bigger challenge anyway. Hendo has an upgraded chin and striking compared to Lindland, and slightly worse wrestling (and submissions?). But Hendo's wrestling is already "good enough". That's not what got him beat.
-Chonan's at WW where he just lost. Who wants to see him against the most dominating middleweight in the world?
Now Bisping... I like the sound of that.

Well, not too much to break down in this fight really. Anderson was calm and controlling when on his back in the first. You can clearly see in the second round when Silva turned up the heat and started to stalk Dan it was over very fast. Those shots he landed to Hendos jaw when he had back control were the ones that put Dan away. The footwork, head movement, leg kicks and fist strikes were scary and you could see Dan wilting under that awsome attack. Go back and watch, late in the second when Dan had Silva up on the fence with the GR clinch, he tried a take down and Anserson used amazing foot work to get back to the cage and quickly got in to the Thai clinch. Over !! Did you see the look of complete bewilderment on Dans face in that shot through the fence ??
A lot of us called Anderson to win this fight and it was the right call from the start. Some one here even posted that all the MMA noobies will see that Anderson is not that great when he loses to Dan ! LOL...
What an awsome beat down !
This dude is beautiful and scary, I think I love him.

I was really rooting for Dan Henderson. He appeared to be controlling and dominating the fight well until he caught the knee to the chin. I believe Hendo has the skills and ability to control Silva, and this fight did not disprove that to me.
I am not taking anything away from Silva, after all he is the champ for a reason. He has great skills and was able to find an opening which gave him the opportunity to take control when his opponent was rocked. That's what champs do.
To me, this fight showed two great fighters and why they are champions. It did not show me Hendo can't hang with Silva.

Even Dan said that he did not take control. When Anderson turned up the rpms it was over fast. Dan was done when Silva started stalking him. If you still think that Dan can control Silva, after this fight, I don't know what fight you watched. Yes, that GR throw down in the first was nice, but Silva controled the ground clinch, and from the bottom ! A complete and utter beating !!

I don't know about that.
(not comparing the two fights but just curious)...Do you also think Kongo was controlled Herring from the bottom?
Hey, aren't you the one with the severe man crush on Anderson?

At the end of the day, it's skills vs skills.
Anderson's skill set allowed him to finish the fight. Hendo's did not.

Haah !! Yeah, that's me... But no I don't think that Kongo controled from the bottom. Herring is so big he just maintained a strong top position and droped all those knees. It was not a case of Kongo having the calmness and skill to control Heath, it's just that not too much was happening down there.
Herring did an okay job of keeping him down. I do say that Anderson was able to keep Dan from getting to where he wanted to be and inflict the type damage he should have been able to from there. Dan should have done more with top position, it's just that Silva is too good..

I was just messing with you a little about the Herring comment.
Dan tried to impose his will and did a decent job of landing some hammerfists and interrupting the breathing but winning one round wasn't the goal. I was more disagreeing about the utter beating comment - Leben v. Silva was an utter beating. Franklin, etc....
