UFC 82...Yawn.
I don't know about anyone else and maybe I wasn't into it tonight but I felt bored during tonight's card, and I buy them all.
I felt like most of the fights should have been on a Fight Night, as almost none of them truly impacted their divisions.
Herring can't possibly be legitimately considered at the top of the division for his win, though it was an entertaining fight.
Leben is going nowhere, except maybe a fight with Okami.
Okami looked more exciting tonight and is obviously the next contender but it's hard to really care.
Fitch put in another boring performance with little damage to his opponent.
Obviously the title fight was awesome.
After it was all said and done, I felt for the first time in a long time my money could have been better spent. I think without a ranking system, it's often just inconsequential fight after inconsequential fight. It's hard to really get behind the implication of an outcome when matches seem to be so random. With all the WWs, how the hell are Fitch and Kos fighting relative nobodies? It's also possible I'm UFC'd out.

I know what you mean. I buy them all too.
Outside of the main event, I wasn't into it either. I think one of the problems is that these PPVs happen too frequently, so they become diluted with inconsequential fighters and recycled fights. Perhaps having the PPVs 2 or 3 times a year with top notch matchups from top to bottom would be better.
The sideshows would be better on free television.
But the folks running the show won't let anything interfere with their greed.

Well i was there at Nationwide Arena and i did not yawn once believe me and i promise you i payed a hell of a lot more then $60. I undestand your argument and all but personally i can't complain. Im a huge Koscheck fan so seeing him live and in person was awesome, AA in action was great too but im not sure if the PPV audience saw those fights. Of course im arguing a moot point because obviously being there is going to be a hell of a lot more exciting then watching it on TV. But I do agree 100% that they are doing too many events which we all know comes down to greed. Sadly you can compare it to the WWE. When i was a kid and actually watched that garbage there were maybe 4 PPV's SummerSlam,Wrestlemania,Royal Rumble, and Survivor Series. Now there is atleast one every month i believe. I think if they kept it to 4-6 important main events a year and had more Fight Nights or even cheaper less extravagant cards done on saturday nights. Example, like 5 so so fights for 29.99 or something similar. But it will never happen because money ruins every sport in some way shape or form, some are just worse then others.

Dang I was pumped for the whole thing, for some reason I can watch Herring/Kongo over and over that fight in my eyes was just awesome for some reason.
And Leben is coming off of two KO's over pretty good strikers I don't get how he's not going anywhere?

I really wish they'd shown more than 1 undercard fight. They ate up a lot of time showing interviews and the HOF induction, and then showing all the same clips they'd shown during the UFC 82 countdown show prior to the title fight. I would have loved to have seen the Diego fight or the Arlovski fight.

They were somewhat boring--But thats the way it is.
Rapidfire was called boring before it started, and was the best in memory.
The main event wasnt though, and it made up for Tanners, and Fitchs' performances.
It was money well spent to see Silva so happy, and Dan trying to catch his breath.

They could have shown the Diego-Bielkheden Fight that ended in the 1st round even with all the extra stuff they have on the PPV, I don't know why they didn't!

So people will have to go purchase the fight on their on demand thing. They are thinking money, not we can put another fight on.

I really enjoyed the card. Even watching Hendo lose, that kinda sucked, but Silva is the man right now. He proved it last night for sure.

I didn't really enjoy it. Maybe because I'm bitter Hendo lost. Glad everyone else did though.

Yeah this card wasn't that great but it had the potential to be. Lot of great fighters on the card but it was a bore fest. They can't all be good though.

I actually really enjoyed this PPV.
Kongo-Herring was exciting. I was very impressed with Kongo's ground game for the 1st two rounds. If he could've gotten Herring off of side-mount, he would've won.
Silva-Henderson was a war. Another great match.
Okami-Tanner was awesome...and I may only be saying that because I'm just so damn happy that Tanner is back. Even if he did lose.
Leben-Sakara was another great match.
Did anyone else notice that the fights seemed to be a lot closer together this PPV? I was at a bar and a lot of other things were going on, so it may have just been me.

I felt the same way. It was a rather bland night to me. What aggravated me even more was the fact that they only showed 1 under card. The event seemed really short to me. Definitely isn't worth the $55.

Heath did look much better than in his previous fights. The problem is I don't see him getting a chance for a rematch anytime soon. I hope not at least. Maybe put him up against Frank Mir or Tim Sylvia.

Agreed. I like watching Leben fight but it's rather pointless.

The fight was ok, somewhat boring though. I guess we will have to see how a rematch of him and A. Silva goes. I guess he would be next in line. I still think Silva would mop the floor with him though.

I don't really agree. I am not a huge Henderson fight but I was really disappointed how it went down. Good Job for Silva but bleh for Henderson and the entire division seems ruined to me. Who is left to challenge Silva?

I felt the exact same way. I dropped 55 on it and after it was all said and done it seemed like a waste to me. /shrug

I didn't think it was a bad card, but it wasn't as good as the last couple. If I had to give this one a grade, I would've given it a C.
