Much like Anderson Silva. Or he could have bum rushed right across the ring and attacked even if Cox put up his glove. That would be more than fair. But by making like he was going to touch gloves but pulled back at the last second to land the kick is cheap, plain and simple. In fact, Manny initiated the touch by raising his hand first, signaling his willingness to perform the move.

Personally, the touch of gloves at the start of each round is overdone and useless. So Anderson Silva bypassing it when he started the fight with Henderson was fine. But using the motion to get an advantage is cheap.
