Rebooted again, opened task manager, then Opera, and browsed those same pages.

Opera used from 1/3 to one 1/2 the memory of Firefox. It isn't as customizable as Firefox, which kinda blows, and doesn't have as many add-ons, but the less memory and faster loading is a good trade off.

Edit: Okay, another test. Rebooted, opened both, and browsed the same pages at the same time. Memory usage was much closer this time, with opera using about 5% less, on average. Weird, huh?
Hahahah thats some good testing man.

Though thoroughly embarrased, I thank Ryduce for humbling me and I dare not cross him again. Also, I want Manhoef's man love all over my face.
