I'm pulling for GSP, as I just do not care at all for Serra or his attitude.
I don't however think that GSP being "pissed" is really his key to winning. With his sh*t in order, honestly GSP should beat Serra more times than not. But that said, I see GSP winning, but I don't see him coming in and taking Serra out quickly and handily by any means. I don't like Serra, but he is one tough little bugger, I will give him that and then some.
I think that Georges will take it this time & honestly think that he should have last time. Yeah....Serra did beat the bejeezus outta him for sure, but GSP just seemed way too cautious and tentative last time out, much like his first go round with Hughes. He fought tight & got tagged for it. This time, even though he's the favorite again and is fighting in front of his home crowd...I really think that he's honestly got nothing to lose, so he should be more relaxed and hopefully on his game.
For all Serra & Company's bravado & sh*t talking about GSP mental state....I actually think that GSP is in their heads more than Serra is in GSP's. Mainly due to the fact that they are all constantly harping on how Georges is mentally weak & a sore loser and are sure that he is going to collapse in front of his home crowd...to me just shows that they are unable to let go of his comments after that first fight. It shows that it struck a pretty strong nerve with them. I'm sure that some where deep down, Serra & Co. know that he was (and is) the underdog for a reason and feel compelled to keep reiterating their claim that GSP is mentally weak....a "metal midget"....Hoping that it will have some real effect on him.
Reading and hearing Georges comments about what was going on with him before that fight, I personally don't think that actually fighting Serra was GSP's problem last time out...not discounting Serra's abilities or diminishing his win...just saying that I wouldn't be surprised to see a more GSP vs. Sherk outcome (though perhaps not as quickly) this time out. Because with his personal sh*t in order, I don't really think that the threat of another Serra KO is going to make Georges lose too much sleep or collapse under the pressure, in front of the home crowd. And to be honest...I sincerely hope that Serra & Co. are not naive enough to believe that.
