Well not really, but the fight DID take place on the ground where a BJJ guy is comfortable. So if he couldn't sub him or defend himself without the fight being stopped, then I guess you could say, in a sense, yes. But if you want to be technical, then NO GSP did not beat Serra at his own game. All I know is Serra got schooled and his reign is over
