The only reason it got a 2 instead of a one is because I seen boobies and watching that chick get shot was pretty cool.

The Kite Runner.
I highly recommend it. Don't go into thinking it's some pro Muslim Terrorist movie, it's not. It's an outstanding anti-hardline Jihadist from Muslims themselves about two friends growing up having to be separated from their peaceful hometown in the Soviet Occupation in the 80's.
Outstanding movie. One of the best I've seen in a while. As long as you don't mind captions (it's a foreign movie), it's a great movie with an outstanding ending.

The Orphanage- A foreign film/ghost story. Produced by Guillerimo Del Toro of Pan's Labryinth fame. Great story with lots of suspense. 9/10
Cloverfield- I like giant Monster flicks, this one was good even with the shaky camera angles. 7/10
No Country for Old Men- I don't get what all the fuss was about for this film. Good yes, but nothing groundbreaking. Hasty ending did'nt help things. 5/10
Juno- Cute and fun but again, i don't see what all the fuss was about? 6/10

I think with No Country for Old Men, it's just been a long time since moviegoers got to see a really insane psycho killer play a good role.

I saw "The Forbidden Kingdom".
Very good movie. A good old fashioned Adventure Kung Fu story. Well written, well choreographed.
Great fight scene between Jet Li and Jackie Chan in the middle. A very entertaining movie, and safe for the kids too. Like i said, a very good old fashioned Adventure story that won't disappoint from open to finish!

Mulla, I saw it and liked it, but I just came away feeling they could have done so much more with that movie. It just seemed to run out of steam, or $$$$, or something.
I actually feel the Charlton Heston version (Omega Man) was better.
With modern special effects I guess I was just expecting more.....

Cool man, I'll keep an eye out for Omega Man.
I guess this was just better than I expected it to be. I really did think it was gonna be a pale imitation of 28 Days Later, and it kinda was, but I was still pleasantly surprised by it. There were a few errors in the film too, but I can live with that.

In the Wild - 8/10 - Neat movie about two years of one man's young life. Would've rated it higher but the movie drug on too long.
Hope Floats - 6.5/10 - Wife's choice. It was okay.

Let me clarify just a bit. The special effects on the current film are far and away better (37 years later). What I felt was better about the Heston version was the script and the pacing.
I thought Will Smith did a fine job in "I Am Legend". It just seemed like the "Deer Chase" burned a lot of time with (for me) little addition to the film. To me it was a display of "look at what we can do with CGI", just for the sake of doing it.
It would not have hurt my feelings if "I Am Legend" had been 30 minutes longer and borrowed a bit more from "The Omega Man".

"Fallen" with Denzel Washington. It was better than average. Weird movie though. 7/10

Baby Mama - 7/10 - Decent. Had some funny moments. Wouldn't sit through it again.

an interesting story about a dysfunctional family road trip that is somewhat relatable and extremely touching, i thought all the performances were great and while the storyline wasnt overly unique there were some very entertaining scenes

I guess I wasn't liberal enough with my rating. I see a lot of 6, 7's and 8's getting so-so write ups. I gave Forgetting Sarah Marshall an 8, I'll give it a 10. I actually want to see it again.

I wasn't sure what to expect with that movie when I stumbled upon it several months back. It had that Napoleon Dynamite feel. Not a bad flick. I'd give it almost a 7/10.

Baby Mama 4/10. As far as chick flicks go it wasn't unbearable but I wouldn't recommend it to another human being.
