Default Din Thomas to 145lbs?

Exclusive: Din Thomas Talks Neer, Potential Move to 145 lbs - MMA on Tap

Quote:
With the UFC’s lightweight division quite possibly being the deepest in the sport, a loss can quickly send a fighter back to the drawing board. With two straight defeats now behind him, Thomas hopes to continue his career at 145 lbs, likely inside the confines of World Extreme Cagefighting.

“The UFC’s lightweight division is the most complex division in the world,” Thomas said. “There’s like four different roads to a title shot going on right now and within any of the roads, no one can afford to lose. While I know I can win against any lightweight in the world on a given day, I fell twice in a row. Therefore, I’m going to bow out. Good luck to those guys. I’m going to drop down to 145 lbs and see if those guys down there will embrace me.”
Cant say I blame him, Din's a good fighter but I cant see him beating the top guys in the LW division. There's some good fights for him at 145lbs.

He has alot better chance of holding a belt at 145. The UFC LW division is full of guys who are all around the same level as Thomas so I don't know if he would be able to put together a string of wins to be a contender.

I don't agree with this at all. I don't see anyone beating the California Kid at 145. I honestly don't see Little Evil Jen's Pulver pulling out a victory. RnC in 1st round for Urijah.

Faber at 155 is a different story. I don't see him beating Penn, Sherk, KenFlo, or Joe Daddy. Huerta would be a good match up though. Too bad none of these will happen.

UFC should consider dropping some more LW's to 145 to compete in the WEC. Possibly Stout and Fisher if they can make weight.

thats strange to think... Faber has showed increasingly worse striking and better and better BJJ and Wrestling... Jens Puvler has showed increasingly good BJJ and Wrestling as well and most definitely has one punch KO power. Faber is the better wrestler here but Jens Survived 5 rounds with BJ Penn and then another 2 or 3 i dont remember either way my point is Faber has very little skills in BJJ compaired to Penn who Pulver has survived more then a round with. Faber is the chuck liddle of the wec... everyone thinks he is so unbeatbale (and he is good he got to where he is for a reason) yet he has huge holes in his game and is very one demensional. Whatever though... no one will listen.

Side note Faber has claimed wanting to drop to 135lbs... I truely believe he is avoiding high level talent now that the 145 lb division is getting stacked he is dropping to an even thiner divsion then the UFC's HW division.

Not sure what you mean by this? I'm listening.

You draw some good comparisons. However, I don't think that Jens will beat Faber.
I like Jens, I think he has accomplished a ton. I have tremendous respect for the guy, especially considering his upbringing. However, I don't see these "holes" that you speak of in Faber's game.

I stand by my prediction of RnC rd 1.
