Kenny is the more polished fighter in my opinion. I see him getting a submission victory here. I've seen Huerta give up his back a couple times (Like the "megatron elbows". Pretty, but the dude had his back), and I think Ken-Flo will make him pay on the ground if El Matador makes any mistakes like that.

Pretty excited for this one. Kenny's "I finish fights" attitude has made him more dangerous than ever, and pretty exciting to watch. I think he'll be too much for Huerta.

Back on topic, it's nice to think that Huerta can win on determination alone. But to feel that way means you are ignoring Florian's skills.
I also believe Huerta is very skilled in what he does as well; I believe if he can avoid a stoppage by cuts then he will have a very legitimate chance to win. I dont care if Kenny wins really but I dont want it to be b/c he has the full mount and Roger cant shake him off like against Joe, anything but that again.....

I see a repeat of the KenFlo/Lauzon fight.
Florian wins this match decisively. RnC rd 2.
A bloody Huerta is once again on Sports Illustrated.

Kenny's juju is sick. He's been around a while, actually... but he's not ancient. He's taken his licks and come back stronger and more determined (hell, did you guys hear what he's doing with his diet?). But you know what, he did come in with that ridiculous outfit when he fought Sherk and he goes around with that stupid "Kenflo" moniker. Ugh. Irks me. Still, he's got skills.

BUT!

What stands out for me is the way Huerta used the big screens to throw hammerhands BEHIND HIM at an opponent he couldn't see. Now THAT is a level of versatility, ingenuity and thinkin'-on-your-feet (in this case, on his knees) that I've rarely seen in anyone else. That's why he's going to pull it off. Call me crazy, but that's my gut feeling.

So in break down:

1. Roger doesn't have a stupid nickname. (El Matador is light-years better than...ugh...Kenflo... ). Roger doesn't walk around with the nickname Rogerta does he? There isn't a Rantoure, B-Penn, Andsil is there?!
2. He has a badass tattoo.
3. He uses the jumbo screens!
4. Florian just bothers me (he's a decent ringside commentator though).

I really see Huerta pulling this one out. I also think that if Lauzon would have fought him any other place than Denver he would have won. I think J-Lau gassed due to elevation. Kenny won't have that advantage over Huerta.

For the record I just can't bring myself to like Kenflo and will be rooting hard for Huerta, BUT I still see Kenny winning this fight. It's ok w/ me if he does cuz then he will get my boy BJ and will get absolutely destroyed! Throw what's left of him on top of Sherk's remains.

No, not "nice"... his tat is "badass".
But y'know, that sort of thing is completely subjective.

You're right though... I'm thinking Huerta KO in the late round. I think Florian will tire trying to sub him... Huerta's strong. Not saying Florian will gas, per se, but I think Huerta will push the striking in the later rounds harder than Florian can press the jujitsu.

I did'nt like Kenny at all when he was on TUF. He just did'nt seem to belong in the sport. Obviously time and a new weight class has done wonders for him. He's a real threat at 155 against anyone. While he may not be the most talented or physically gifted, he fights smart and pays his dues in the gym. Kenny by submission or even KO as Huerta tends to be reckless, leaving himself open to a more composed fighter.

1- Roger's KenFlo equivalent would be RogHuer which would suck. I do agree Kenny could use a better nickname though.

2- Huerta does have one of the cleanest, coolest tattoos in MMA.

3-I missed the Huerta "Using the Jumbo Screen" thang ,but good on him if he did. Smart!

4- I totally don't understand all the Florian hatred. Is it because his parents are from Peru?

5- Should be a good fight, but I expect Florian to win by GnP, or possibly a Head Kick KO.
