The jab isnt intended to deliver much power, it's intended to set up other power punches. You should concentrate on quickness and speed with your jab to ensure it lands fast and with that "pop" in order to set up those rights, lefts, uppercuts, etc that usually follow a jab.
Effective Jab punchers are able to land it at will, and "stun" their guy in volume, not necessarily in power. This sets up again those power shots.
Only a handful of great boxers actually had KO power with their Jab.
1)Muhammad Ali
2)Michael Moorer
3) Sugar Ray Leonard
4)Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Off the top of my head, those are the only guys I've seen box that dropped someone off a jab, maybe not totally KO'd the guy (except Moorer knocked two guys out once with a triple jab), but they dropped them.
