I often wonder what possessed him to try that move. I mean it worked, but it's just counter-intuitive to what you'd normally do with your elbow.

I like elbows, but I hate the (fight-ending) cuts they cause. I've often wondered what would be the minimal amount of padding they could add without hindering movement or creating an illegal handle during grappling. The main thing is just dulling that sharp bone in the elbow.
