Default Better than what you expected?

Have u watched a UFC pay-per-view thinking that it would be no good but was suprised by how good it was & not what u expected?

For me UFC 80,i thought would be terrible but ended up enjoying it especially the Penn v Stevenson match which was a bloodbath ( probably why i enjoyed it so much).

The one they had in Ireland last August or June I think it was? I mean on paper the card looked like crap.

But Tyson Griffin vs. Clay Guida? That fight made that card, and other great fights on that card.

I was fully pleasantly surprised.

With a lot of people thinking UFC 85 doesn't look great, is anyone else noticing a theme here? The UK cards maybe not looking great on paper then actually delivering the goods. Lets hope 85 will be another added to the list of exciting UK events.

In regards to Krav's post, that Guida vs Griffin fight was awesome, easily one of my fights of the year. Although the decision still went the wrong way in my opinion.

Edit: 100th post, yay!

The UFC cards in Europe never look on paper as good as the cards that are fought in America but the cards in Europe usually end up being more xciting to watch.

The one with Lesnar/Mir(I think it was 81) was a lot better than I thought it would be, and actually ended up being one of my favorite UFC events ever.

80 was the first one I thought of. So many fights shown and exciting finishes.

It's hard to tell on paper, it really is. Sometimes the seemingly awesome fights aren't nearly as exciting as we anticipated and sometimes a fight no one was talking about before that night ends up being an awesome matchup. However, if it's not a card loaded with fights I'm highly anticipating, I'm not shelling out the $$$ for the PPV. I'll head to the bar and catch it.
