Default It All Starts Here.

So its been a little over 6 months since I started boxing. I am Six foot tall 21 years of age, 76kilograms and 6% body fat. Long gone is the 16 year old kid who was 118 kilograms. Tonight my training starts - I have my first boxing match in Nine hours. I have just awoken from my slumber, Completed my morning meditation and now sit here as I collect my thoughts about my triumph that lies ahead. I am relaxed and looking forward to the event almost sleepy my body is in a strange state that I have never experienced before. Its almost bustling with so much energy and moving so fast that it appears slow and deliberate. But I can feel deep within an energy ready to be released.
And when I say triumph I don't over opponent as this is just myself testing the water. However I do mean triumph over myself. Win or Lose tonight I will be successful. I have no fear of failure as I have already Won the battle just by being there.
I will end my corny little anecdote with a Quote.

"Champions are made from something they have deep inside them, a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute- stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will.
But the will must be stronger than the skill."

Muhammad Ali.

Good luck, Texmo! I understand the feeling you have right now. Not only are stepping into fight, but your doing it in front of a crowd. Seems like everything takes forever to complete. You can't figure out if it's anxiety or anxiousness but figure it is a bastard mix of both, but are sure of yourself because you know that you are twice the athlete you were mere months ago when you began preparing for this fight. Best feeling in the world! Go get 'em!

That's awesome Tex. Best of luck to you. That's an outstanding achievement.

Fight Video to come...

I wasn't quite sure what to expect but when to bell went and he threw an overhand right landing square in my face that sure wasn't it. He had me on my back foot for a few seconds until I regained composure.
The rest of the fight was like little snippets and so I will wait for the DVD until I can see what really happened not just what I perceived to have happened.
I won the first round 10 to 9
I won the second round 10 to 8 (he had two 8 counts)
I lost the third round by TKO (I had one eight count)

A rather disappointing result as I knew I had him in the first two so relaxed in the third but I gave it away. Such is life. I am glad this fight wont go on my record as it was a private tournament. My next fight wont be for 28days due to the TKO. So I am back at training tonight.

Edit: cheers for the support guys.
