BTW- great sig. How could anyone rank Gomi over BJ after seeing that fight?
The Brock Lesnar before WWE was pretty damn big already. I've followed Lesnar pretty closely over the years (yes, I watch WWE), and I've never heard of a failed drug test or anyone finding steroids in his vehicle. I could have missed it, but I sure don't remember that. It's definitely an unfair assumption without a source.

I think Herring's somewhat limited submission skills trump Lesnar's extremely limited submission defenses. I like Heath for the finish by TKO or Submission.

Lesnar was arrested in 2001 for receiving a package authorities suspected contained a large amount of steroids. Charges were later dropped when lab tests showed the pills were not steroids. Lesnars attorney calimed the pills were "vitamin supplements", while at least on police authority stated they were "growth hormone" of some type.

TSG Mug Shot: Brock Lesnar

That said, if we had an absolute way of determining the truth I would put every penny I have on a bet stating Lesnar has used steroids and/or growth hormone at some point.

Heath has a ton of experience and i'm sure somehow some way that is going to play a big role in this fight. Thanks for the info smashy.
I feel the same way, actually... I'll be pulling for Lesnar, but this will be one of those fights where I heavily root for/worry about one guy over the other...

think its silly to assume that Lesner has never taken an anabolic in his life -But lets face it Kimbo has bulk beyond his standing-Lets face it if a con has development of his lats, traps etc that kimbo has just from eating an alleged poor diet and still gained such defined mass then I would say the accusation should be levelled at the pair of them not just Brock. They are both untested in the UFC (Sorry Brock must have had some kind of testing and passed) but what about Kimbo?)Just food for thought....

It will be a better fight than with Coleman. After all Herring is still a good fighter, while Coleman... you know. He was okay in 1956.

Let's go Herring!

How do you know he is bigot?

Heath, next to Spencer Fisher, has the worst TD defense in MMA. He was taken down repeatedly by Kongo for god sakes.

He is gonna submit Lesnar? The last person he submitted was Giant Silva 5 years ago, and that took him almost 15 minutes, give me a break.

I will buy everyone on this forum a drink if this fight last longer than 3 mins.

Brock Lesnar is a tough match up for any heavyweight, Herring included. He pushes the limits of the weight class while retaining incredible athletic ability. Mark Coleman and Tom Erikson where both big guys and good wrestlers with explosive power but no where near what Lesnar brings to the cage. Herring will be taken down and pounded out as long as Lesnar stays smart and does'nt lose positioning. There is no way Herring is going to stuff the takedown as that would be much like trying to stop a train. Brock is just too big and too quick. We have'nt even seen what he has on his feet yet.

It's always possible Heath could land a hard punch or flush knee when Lesnar is going for the take down.

However, I say chances are very minimal for Herring if/when Lesnar takes him down.

My prediction:
Lesnar, tko strikes from half-guard < 2:30 rd 1.
Any bet takers?

It's hard to submit someone from your back when you're eating hammerfists the size of a small dog.

Lesnar by brutal, brutal GnP.

I'm not looking forward to this fight at all. Lesnar is going to kill the Crazy Horse!!! I would have like to see Lesnar fight Coleman though. To bad he got hurt.

You think he'll kill Herring and you wanted to see Coleman? Just curious, what do you think Lesnar would have done to Coleman?

I personally believe the UFC has put yet another hurdle in Lesnar's way by having him fight Herring. Unlike Bisping, they are not giving Brock any easy fights. Coleman was supposed to be his highlight reel chance. Now he's facing someone like Herring who, like Coleman, has been around but who, unlike Coleman, still is in his prime.

Yeah I see Heath getting taken down and GnP's till the finish. Or giving up his back like he always does for a turtle defence or trying to stand from that and getting suplexed on his head. Just a bad matchup for Heath even though I like the guy.

Make it a Shiner Brock bud

I am a fan of Herring. I mean we pretty much have the same hometown. But I see this fight being like Herring/O'Brian.

Coleman's absence is good news and Herring, while I see pain in his future, is a more relevant fight.

Much better and more close matched fight than Lesnar v Coleman. Feel a little bad for Lesnar actually coz he isnt exactly gettin an easy ride into the world of mma like Kimbo. Ok his first fight was relatively simple but then straight into Frank Mir (former heavyweight champ, sub expert) and now into Herring who is no slouch, if he wins fair to play the guy!

I really hope Heath will take it but I think Lesnar will win.
But I am really intrested in som of the situations we might get in this fight.

The stand up fight and the ground and pound.
Can heath scramble himself up again if he is taken down?I hope so.

I am 100% sure Heath will be taken down unless he hit Brock with something big knee/punch in the take down atempt.

Will be very intrested to see how Brock will do if it moves into 2/3 round.

Looking forward to the fight even though I got a bad feeling for Heath.
