Job Description:
Spike.com is looking for a channel producer in their online group to start immediately. This position demands someone who is a near (or true) expert in the field of MMA, specifically the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Duties include the following but are not limited to:
1. Being well versed in existing internet blogs, newsletters and other information sources for the aforementioned fields
2. Ability to work through various approval chains/hierarchies.
3. Sensitivity to high-profile brand issues.
4. Writing content and blog entries for a young male audience
5. Coming up with online programming ideas
This position will be based in Santa Monica, CA.
Required Qualification/Skills:
Strong writing skills and experience with blogging and blog software.
Devout and complete interest and affinity for UFC and Mixed Martial Arts in general.
Strong knowledge of the online content environment. (i.e. applicant is familiar with trends and successful cases in the world of viral videos and online content relevant to the aforementioned channel.)
Excellent communication & presentation abilities.
Computer & design skills including Illustrator & Photoshop.
Detail oriented, organized, efficient multi-tasking a MUST.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requires minimum supervision in completing a task.
Ideally, but not necessarily, the applicant would have some experience with online sales/integrated marketing.
