There's parts that make me think it's fake, but it looks pretty freaking real. Anyone speak Japanese? It'd be cool to know what the guy getting his butt kick is saying.
That was Akira Maeda laying the beatdown backstage ta a Japanese prowrestling show. Maeda founded Rings. I don't know if that was scripted or not, because it looked like a real ass whoopin', but it probably was.

Thanks for the info, Dirty. Yeah, that really did look like an ass whoopin'.
The guy getting beaten up didnt fight back, it must be fake. If I was the guy getting punched when he got up I would of started throwing bombs.
Thing is, the guy doing the beating was the boss. One of the words I understood from the video, sumimassen, is almost like saying pardon me or excuse me. The guy Maeda was beating was saying it, like he knows he f'ed up and was asking for forgiveness. Interested to know the back story to this vid.

umm...don't know. It kinda seemed fake to me to begin with becuz some of the shots didn't seem like they were that hard. But when he went to stomping on his head, it looked pretty real...Maybe, it was fake-ish. Like it was set up and rehearsed, but maybe asian wrestlers are more willing to get hit than WWE wrestlers?
