Tito Interview

As much as I love to hate Tito, I love to see him back in the UFC and hyping up future fights against Forrest Griffin, Ken Shamrock, and Chuck Liddell.
Check out the new Tito Interview on UFC.tv.

Tito says "I win" about coming to terms with the UFC and coaching The Ultimate Fighter season 3. I think the UFC LHW division is going to get very interesting once again. The question is, what happens if Couture beats Liddell for the LHW Championsip? Can't wait

But on a serious note I think tito will be good for the TUF 3 and I am looking forward to seeing Chuck or Randy beat him again. Ok, maybe I am still not being 100% serious, but I do wonder why Tito wants to fight Chuck more than Randy. Sure Chuck knocked him out, but Randy spanked him. Chuck beat Tito inpart because Tito, for some reason, decided to stand with him, but Randy just out classed him at his own game. If it were me Randy would be number 1 on my list.

I think Tito realizes that he has a better shot at beating Chuck. It's still quite a slim chance in my opinion, but better than he has against Randy. There isn't much Tito can to do improve against Randy. Tito's style is GNP and Randy is just better at it....period.

But, don't you think that when someone is better at one aspect of fighting, they are more familiar with that aspect and how to defend or avoid it? For isntance a grappler facing a grappler can do much better than if he were facing a striker, and vice versa.

Man Tito almost sounded respectful in that interview. If he just wasn't bragging and saying "I win" what is the point of going around gloating about it. He should be mature and say "everyone wins" or something like that. Sure it's cliche but he won't sound like a jackass. I just hope the emphasis of TUF 3 isn't on the drama and if Tito and Ken can be good coaches then it should be pretty interesting.

I'd root for chuck or Randy vs him of course but its so much more interesting now with him back... especially after UFC 57 is over. CANT WAIT.

I'm no Tito lover but I am very excited to see him in the UFC (even more excited for BJ) again. I think the fight with him and Forrest is going to be very good. Could you imagine what that would do for Forrest and how that would kill Tito if Forrest won?

no....I think it's quite the opposite. a grappler has a distinct advantage facing a striker since the striker probably doesn't have anywhere near the knowledge on the ground as the grappler....If the grappler can get it to the ground...it's his fight to win. And vice versa for the striker.

Yeah, we are saying the same thing really. What I mean is a grappler can defend against grappling, but maybe not striking. So from a defensive angle, he'd know how to defend takedowns and submissions better than the striker. From an offensive angle, he'd do better with a striker if he could close the gap without getting caught.

I can see where both points are valid... too bad Tito isn't beating either Chuck or Randy... with those two, pick your poison.

I'm very, very glad to see Tito back. I, like a lot of other people, love to hate him. I can't see him lose if he's not fighting! Honestly, he really is a good fighter. He's well rounded and his conditioning is excellent. He's uber popular and brings in crowds. He'll be great for TUF3 and his rivalry with Shamrock is amusing and also a good popularity stunt. I think he'll add to the LHW division and UFC overall quite a bit, but he's no threat to the top of the division. (including Babalu)

I will be laughing so hard if Forrest knocks him out. Hell, Cote floored him with one punch and I bet (and hope) Forrest could do the same.

I think Forrest has a shot in this one. Yes he's a clown and a jokester but Tito just doesn't impress me. If Forrest can avoid the take down or at least stay off his back for exteneded periods of time he can beat Tito. Cote went the distance with Tito and he's known for having one of the worst takedown defenses in the business.

Tito better have some real surprises for us. otherwise i hope he gets his ass handed to him by everyone he fights. the fight with Cote was brought up and i was quite puzzled by the fact that Tito did'nt finish him. it was 3 rounds of Tito doing his slow boring GnP. that was his fight to win and he bored us all with a decision victory. Tito has alot of improving to do if he thinks he can compete in the UFC LHW division and be successful.
