Just wanted to get alittle more info on this little rivalry. I got a vid clip of Tyson and Sapp after Sapp fought Kimo and was wondering if Sapp ever did or will sign that contract. Was it an exclusive boxing contract? Anyway, added a poll for fun too. I don't think Sapp has the energy to go against Tyson although I hear his cardio has been alot better lately.

Are we talking Boxing or K1??? Its hard to pick against a 385lbs Sapp who would be fighting an equally poorly conditioned Tyson in either Boxing or K1.

I guess keep it boxing for the sake of discussion. Sapp isn't known for his kicks anyway even though he does throw them.

i dont know guys but Tyson would number one intimadate the **** out of SAPP and Sapp cannot take body shot ..once Tyson lands a few rib shots its a wrap for sapp

I agree that Sapp can't take a body shot but I dont think he'd be intimidated one bit. Especially after Tyson walked in the ring after one of Sapps fights and Sapp charged at him.

Saying that Tyson would intimidate Sapp is like saying an 80lbs Pitbull would Intimidate a 200lbs Bull Mastiff. Win, Lose or Draw NO WAY is 385lbs MAN-ANIMAL Bob Sapp intimidated by anything smaller than a Rhino.

yeah man these people dont understand the toughest dude in the world would be afriad to look at Tyson ..even though sapp is a big dude, Tyson has been intimidating dudes his whole life ..Sapp wins by going toe to toe ..Ernesto Hoose broke down Sapp with leg kicks and took him out with shots to the ribs..Now Tyson hits about 100% times harder then Hoose..

And Sapp is obviously not intimidated cause he went after when he stepped into the ring after his K1 match with Kimo. If Tyson wasn't just bait to get Sapp to sign a contract, he'd accept the fight in a second.

not saying Sapp would win though. Just saying he's not intimidated in the least. And arguing the past and weather or not hes one of the best boxers in history aside, Tyson sucks now.

Tyson doesn't intimidate people anymore. That's why he's been losing. Tyson, in the pre-prison era was intimidating, but not anymore. I highly doubt that Mike Tyson hits any harder than Ernesto Hoose, let alone 100 times harder. Tyson's punching power's not what it used to be. Why else do you think Danny Williams survived the first round with him? Tyson hit Williams with everything but the ring post in the first round, and hardly even phased Danny Williams. I think if Sapp doesnt mix in some leg action he'd lose though, probably not by knock out, but overall scores. Mike Tyson could out box him easy, just by nature. However, throw in the low kicks and it's a new game.

He hasnt been losing because he hasnt been intimidating people, hes been losing because his head is all wacked out..Tyson has serious mental problems alot of people forget that ****..20 yr old heavyweight champ of the world -22yr old with 60 million in the bank..and now almost 40 hes fighting dudes not to win but to get out of DEBT..Tyson is a clear example of what happens to athlets dealing with ****ed up promotors and managers.. Don't forget Don King is rich because of Mike Tyson

Well first to address the "if Tyson was 109 I'd still be intimidated" The guy is nothing more than a bully and a joke at this point- there is nothing to be afraid of other than the fact that he is as emotionally volitile as a 12 year old girl. If he touches anyone at this point they will lock his sorry ass up and the person he hit would jump to the front of a long line of creditors that he owes money to after the subsequent civil suit.

As far as his head being wacked out, IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN. If it weren't for boxing there isn't anyone on this board who wouldn't volunteer to take him out and shoot him like a rabid dog. Tyson is a clear example of STUPID, IGNORANT people when they get money and no guidance and then a guy like King comes along and rips him off. The old saying, "A fool and his money are soon parted." is true and Tyson is a textbook example of it. Sapp wouldn't be intimidated by this guy and anyone with a set of nuts on them and an ounce of self respect wouldn't be either. I'm not saying Sapp would win but PLEASE lets stop making Tyson into something he is not, face it he is washed up, he had a legitimate chance to make a claim at being an all time great but squandered that by going to Jail. He lost to any decent competition he faced, lewis (badly) and holyfield etc. he never beat anyone in the top 10 all time unless you count an out of shape and over the hill Larry Holmes. He never had any career defining fights like Ali vs. Foreman, Ali vs Frazier, he fought chumps and he SHOULD have destroyed them. Tyson was a flash in the pan not an all time great and he is very beatable, if McBride could do it Sapp most definitely can. Thats the end of my rant and now I will brace for the onslaught of indignation by the Tyson worshippers on this board.

I hear you. Mike Tyson is past tense. He was "ok" in his day, but then again he never beat any greats. The greats he did fight stomped him. He intimidated people because he is whacked. Now people beat the snot out of him for being whacked. People need to quit making excuses for the man. He's nothing but a punk! Look at the way he acts. So, he's got mental problems. I've worked in Psych units before...they make medicine that balances out those chemicals in your head. He just hides behind that so he can be his real self...a Punk. He'd never made it in the days of Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Holmes (in his prime), etc. We would probably even say "who's Mike Tyson?"

You are talking about his opponents PRE-Holyfield.. Tyson never scared anybody else after Holyfield broke him, and Lennox killed his name.

People always remember the old tyson, then they get confused. That Tyson, hasn´t showed up since the fight against Ruddock.

But to show how a man´s reputation can follow him, people still believe in him, even after loosing to Danny Williams and McBride.. both fighters he should be ashamed of loosing to. Not worthy of being called the baddest dude on the planet.. not anymore anyway.
