Actually one of the judges thought Vitor won, and 74% of hardcore MMA fans on sherdog thought that Vitor won that fight. And I think Vitor was more dissapointed about his performance in the last round than about winning the fight and even if he did think he lost it would not be the first time a fighter thought he lost and won. Example: Hughes v Newton 1.

As for the announcers Half of their job is to make fans excited about the the next round of fighting and like I said I was pretty suprised when they were talking like it was 1 and 1 going into the third round.

Well... Mr. Liddell certainly didn't seem to agree with the decision, judging from the look on his face when it happened. Granted, he likes Tito about as much as I do. Either way... I'm not saying Tito didn't win, it just wasn't a clean or even Unanimous win. One judge didn't seem to agree, but I don't always agree with judges.

Like Jonny said earlier... this is beating a dead horse.

Just cause Tito is good for the organization, doesn't mean he deserves a title shot. I'm sure he'll get it. He stand a great chance against Griffen and will certainly mop the floor with Shamrock. Then he'll get a title shot even though he has no chance against Chuck, Randy or Sobral.

Whatever... it's good for the ratings but Tito is still not a true contender.

Lesson to MMA fighters: Do NOT let a fight go to the judges!

Judges are subjective. There really are only three basic points with which they use to judge a fight:
* Round Winner Gets 10 points
* Opponent gets 9 or less points
* The winner/loser is based on four actions
1.] Striking
2.] Grappling
3.] Aggression
4.] Octagon Control
You can score it yourself, and you will see how subjective those points can seriously be in a match. Notice that there is not really any special action for points to give for doing more damage from the ground...

Many people seem to think Diaz ought to have beat Sanchez due to making Sanchez bleed while Diaz was on his back -- strikes. And, Horn won from his back in his last fight, but I do not think that mattered. He was doing well with aggression and grappling.

this is beating a dead horse... chuck was heavily routing for vitor the whole way through, and was disappointed he didnt win which is why he had that reaction.... i guess i just dont even find that to be a debatable issue, i really think tito clearly won that

I'll just throw a little more fuel into the fire while I'm here. I'm not saying Tito will beat Chuck, Randy, or Babalu, but I think he has a very solid chance at winning the title when he gets his shot.

He isn't an idiot. Do you think he was jackin around this whole time he has been out of action? I'm sure Tito has been bustin his ass and will come back better than ever. He is just now coming into the prime age for an MMA fighter, and he has a lot of years left in him. I honestly think Babalu would be Tito's toughest challenge out of the three. I don't think Tito would struggle with Chuck or Randy nearly as bad as he did the first time around. I think Babalu would be really tough on Tito, but Tito could still win the fight.

Like I said, I'm not making any predictions here. I'm just saying Tito will be ready for all his fights and have a solid chance at winning all of them.

I just see so many people in this topic make remarks obviously based on their personal feelings for Tito. It's getting quite obvious.

And Unknown, there could have been 100,000 10-year olds voting for Vitor at Sherdog.Com. I wouldn't necessarily base the fight off the Sherdog.Com poll results.

Tito won, so everyone needs to move on. There is a "most controversial UFC fights" topic for that discussion.

In responce to Tito being ready Read thread 'No Team Punishment'

In responce to Tito vs Chuck or Randy or Babalu. Tito will have one hard time getting Chuck down but he has the best chance of beating him as opposed to the other two. That being said I for one don't think that Chuck will defend his title against both Randy and Babalu. Both have a very good chance of beating chuck. If Tito faces Randy he will probably be getting his ass spanked again because I don't see him getting Randy to the position to beat him and I strongly doubt that he will be knocking him out. He only chance will be a submission and I say good luck with that. As for Babalu, He is on a roll right now and has got the skills to do the same thing to Tito that Randy did. He has the least chance of beating Babalu.

And in responce to the comment about my sherdog comment. This was really before MMA became mainstream most of them probably knew what they were talking about. 100,000 MMA experts are as likley if not more likley that 100,000 10 year olds. And besides I am not basing the fight off them. I am basing it off the times I have seen it. I was simply respond to the point about 'who thought Vitor won?' See the way the people on the forum talk about who won that fight. Most people think that Vitor won that fight.

Put Vitor and Tito together again and we'll have another good fight. I think Vitor will beat him, again. I think Vitor just needs two more little matches and then throw against either Tito or Overeem. I want those two losses avenged badly.

In the records Tito won. Fans, fighters, etc. thought Vitor won. Have them fight again and wipe the contraversy clean.

Amen brother. This thread has gotten way off topic. And I am to blame for that. So I apologize that I brought up the Vitor fight. I should have thought about the wrath that was to be unleashed by the Tito-ites. Again I apologize. Let's get the thread back on topic here.

Here is how I see the next few title shots. I imagine that Randy is going to win the belt. Vacate it then retire. Then Chuck and Babalu will rematch for the vacant belt. If Babalu wins then they will have to have a rubber match of course. By that time I don't see Tito in the picture. I imagine he will have some kind of dispute after his contract is over and he won't be able to renegotiate.

Let's just let it die people. Who the hell cares anyway. The outcome isn't going to be changed. Plus the argument is already being made in another thread.

This argument has been made all kinds of places. I still hold to that Tito will have to be impressive against Forest and Ken to really deserve another title shot.

I will be a huge match up. Big sales, good for UFC/Zuffa.

I'm just saying I don't feel that he really is a top contender, but oh well.

That's why this forum is go great. We can get a little off-topic, but we are still able to have some good arguments. I just think people are underestimating Tito a little bit, but that's ok. He didn't go out on the best of terms. I don't really know if I'm a huge fan or not because I haven't seen enough of him to tell. Like I said, I may hate the guy a year from now.

I am just excited to see him fight Forrest Griffin. After that fight, we will be able to tell if Tito has anything worth talking about. If he doesn't, then I'll be the first to come in here and say he doesn't deserve crap. But if he gets the job done in decent fashion, then he will continue to move up the charts.

As for the Tito/Vitor rematch, bring it on! It wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit to see Vitor back in the UFC!

I personally don't feel that Tito sucks. I think he has a great chance of putting Forrest down. I just don't think he's a legitimate threat to Chuck, Randy or Babalu. You know who he is gonna own... Shamrock.
Either way, it will be great publicity for the UFC, I'm not really mad about it... Tito gets into everything. Just the way it is.

This is alittle off the subject but I heard an interveiw with Hughes on UFC.tv and he said that he only has a 3 a year fight deal. I had to throw that in there.....Again, after Babalu gets his shot and IF Tito beats Shamrock and Griffin, then he should get a chance.

Tito is proven, he doesn't need to continue to prove himself. Plus, we may get to see Tito vs. Babalu, he maybe champion by then.

I think he should have to fight both Randy if he loses and Babalu and beat them both before he gets a shot at the title I don't he can beat either of them so that don't matter but if some wierd crazy stuff happens and he does he should get the title shot
