Josh Barnett vs. Kazuhiro Nakamura
I don't like Barnett anymore. He was supposed to fight Minotauro but demanded way too much money than he was worth. I hope Nakamura wins, I don't even care if it's a boring decision. Barnett vs. Minotauro could have been exciting as hell but now it won't take place.

(2/06/06) - (PRIDE) Expect to hear some controversy shortly regarding why Josh Barnett vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira was not booked for the main event of the 2/26 Saitama Super Arena. According to insider accounts in Brazil, the Brazilian side of things is that Barnett asked for too much money to fight Nogueira. Therefore, DSE booked Kazuhiro Nakamura because he was cheaper.
That's what the Brazilians say. In response to the accusations of not accepting the fight due to money, Josh Barnett (in a direct conversation with me) stated that this was not the case. Barnett stated that he had accepted a fight with Nogueira in January and for the financial amount that was asked for. He was contacted again and offered a fight with Nakamura instead, which he accepted.
Sankei Sports has an article about the upcoming Barnett vs. Nakamura fight. The winner of the fight gets a slot into the open-weight tournament on 5/5 at the Osaka Dome. Nakamura stated that despite the weight difference (he is 100 kg, Barnett is 124 kg), it shouldn't be a problem as he has faced guys who weighed up to 150 kg in Judo before
