in theory, 3 way WW tourney to make things right
penn is fighting GSP... hughes is fighting gracie (but who cares besides entertainment value) the winner of GSP\penn gets hughes.... HOWEVER, i really think the loser of gsp\penn should get a shot of hughes vs the winner for the next fight.... so if penn loses, and its gsp\hughes II i really think that penn should get 1 fight before as those 2 fight (like randy\van arsedale) then get a chance for the belt... everyone would love to see a penn\GSP II or penn\Hughes II and vice versa if GSP lost...
any thoughts??
i know theres those who want to see karo get a shot, but thats not me.... then after that 2nd match, give diego a shot if he keeps winning and is ready....

no way Karo deserves a shot before Diego, but probably not until the end of the year, or early next year.

why not have karo and diego fight sometime this year to see who gets a shot at the current belt holder? it would be either hughes, penn, or gsp...and karo or diego vs any of the three would all be pretty damn good fights.....

i dont think so.... i think penn, gsp and hughes are SO far above everyone i think they both deserve a title shot... putting deigo or karo vs any one of the 3 is just a waste of timei and a main event....

How is it fair to give Diego a shot, a guy that has beaten one top 15 ww in Diaz, and not give Karo a shot that he was going to get before he got injured. Karo has also beaten Diaz and lost in a decesion to GSP. He has fought and beat way more quality opponents than Diaz has. Here is my solution: (I will assume Penn wins aganist GSP just for example purposes)
GSP v.s Karo (if healthy, maybe give Karo a fight in between.)
The winner of that fight gets the winner of Hughes v.s Penn
I say then we can look at Deigo if is still on his win streak and the UFC doesn't baby him.

GSP vs KARO!!!? go back to gsp's FIRST fight in the UFC... domination
bottom line is theres a huge line between the top 3 and the rest (even tho the rest are good) diego is the only one i can see with any possibility to get up there

karo deserves every shot cause after losing to GSP, george lost to matt so karo should get a shot.he beat matt serra, chris lytle, nick diaz, but lost to gsp.on the other hand who has diego beaten that is worthy, kenny florian, and nick diaz i guess that somes it up like in pro football you cant lose your job due to a injury it has to be earned.

that doesnt make sense..... diego beat diaz, gsp ruined karo, and karos list besides diaz isnt that great, he is well below and wouldnt win, its really just a waste of time until he beats diego (which is who he should fight next IMO)

I think that might be going a bit far saying "no way Karo deserves a shot before Diego." If they had an actual ranking system that they used. Karo would still be facing Matt before Diego. But, the fact is the way the UFC has been running things lately, I'm sure Karo lost his shot when he got injured. At least for a while anways. For my two sence, I say Diego is no longer un-defeated if he gets to fight Karo.
