Lol well, after Mirs last fight I would have to say that Rizzo would take him. Ortiz Sham. 2 would be a replay of the first fight. Lightning Lee is pretty bad, but Franklin's the man right now. Gsp deals dirty sanchez his first loss! Just my opinion!

Maybe so, but Mir looked like a dead duck against Cruz. Did he even score any points? If he cant overcome his injury (maybe a lot of that last loss was mental), he should retire. Do you guys seriously think he could handle AA after that last showing? (maybe pre-accident would have been a sweet matchup). Dont get me wrong I like Mir and want him to do well, just a lot to overcome.

I say Mir, Ortiz, Franklin, and GSP.

Mir b/c I think he will be ultra-motivated from a loss to Cruz.

Ortiz b/c I think that he is on a mission -- Shamrock has losses to good fighter lately...

Franklin b/c I think that he has entered a new level -- he is good.

GSP b/c Sanchez is not ready for a Hughes or GSP yet.

Mir, IMO, did show problems with moving his legs and hips in his fight. At one point, maybe two, it seemed like his leg gave out or lacked the stregnth to perform as Mir wanted or expected. I think Mir need more therapy and conditioning on that leg and hip. He may have to completely change his way of fighting, or learn newer ways to fight that will not make his leg a liability...

Thecreewarrior called it -- Franklin and Liddell is the fight I'd most like to see. I can even see it happening at some point in the future, whenever someone manages to upset Franklin. He enters the octagon at about 205 anyway, so it would just mean no cutting required to make weight. And Chuck likes a challenge. You only need to show him someone and say he can't beat them to have him sign the contract. :-)

I don't think Franklins chin could hold up against Liddell. Liddell needs to fight AA

Are you Nate Quarry? What's with all this weak chin talk about Franklin? It's weird that guys like Tito have been dropped more times than Rich, and yet no one goes on about Tito's chin.

I haven't actually seen tape of his loss to Machida, but it was a TKO, right? Not a KTFO? So for only losing one fight in his pro career by TKO, I don't think it's fair to say Franklin's chin can't stand up to Chuck. And to flip it around, if anyone in a possible weight range can KO Chuck, it's Franklin.

Yes I agree rich has a great chin, he ate a bomb from Loiseau at ufc58 and got right back up.

Okay, fair enough. I've never seen the fight, so I guess I shouldn't use it as an example. But do people agree that there's no reason to label Rich Franklin as having a weaker chin than anyone else in MMA?

You can't compare Tito & Rich's chin. First Tito's level of competition @ this point has been much higher than Rich. Second Tito in a fight has not been knock silly with shakey legs like Rich did in UFC 58. Tito has been dropped but has gotten back up quickly. Wandy, Vitor, Cote, Shamrock all knocked Tito good but did got right back up no problems. Rich on the other hand looked like the fight was going to end vs the crow. Rich has been KTFO. Tito was KTFO by Chuck. Took about 100 hits but did cover up and go down.

i wouldnt go so far as to say that rich has a weak chin, but he has been caught with some descent shots that did some damage. i think that he, much like most anyone else, got hit in the right place and it really shows. you take a lick right on front of the chin, behind the ear, or on the temple and youll go down pretty quick if the shot has any force behind it. i think that hes a fighter that loves to throw leather, and as such, hes a fighter that will tend to get hit a little more than other fighters that prefer to take it to the ground. it will just seem like he has a weaker chin if he gets knocked down from time to time...

Agreed. I NEVER said he has a "weak" chin. I think 99.99% would agree that it wouldn't hold up against Liddell.

Rich Flanklin is no doubt the supperior 180lb right now...but he hasn't fought anybody that has knock out punching power like Chuck Liddell. The last 3 fights Franklin got rocked by Losieau, and Evan Tanner, these guy are more ground and pound they dont even have the power like Chuck...and Ken Shamrock, In my mind is pass his prime, he only know angil lock. Rich Franklin needs to fight Lightning Lee Murray.
