I think that it says a lot for Tanner that he has only ever lost by submission one time. His other five losses were all due to (T)KO.
I am not sure that Tanner would have defeated Jeremy Horn. It would have been a great fight, IMO, since both fighters like to fight a lot and both have good ground and submission skills. Two great strikers have been winning againts Tanner: that was Franklin and the Crow. The only other people to beat Tanner have been Tito Ortiz (with that monster slam) in 2001 and that one submission loss to Heath Herring way back in 1997. It seems to me that a great striker has a better chance of winning against Tanner. Jeremy Horn can strike, but I don't think that he is a great striker...

He also beat Dave Terrell, who is a really good fighter.
This sometimes doesn't make a difference but, Tanner didn't have the muscular definition that he had in previous fights (in the Louiseau fight) Some times this doesn't matter but he looked tired in the second round. He is usually game to go 3-5 rounds. He might not have been doing much cardio and taking Louiseau easily (which turned out to be a mistake. ) I like Tanner and think he is a better fighter than Louiseau ( especially after UFC 59 ) I would love to see a rematch!!
