And though you were joking about Kimo, he and Bas Rutten will fight on July 22 at WFA. I still think Tito will win again, but don't count Ken out totally.

thanks for the correction on the closed hand strikes, thats what I meant.

but as for Ken and his leg locks, he hasnt beaten anybody with a leg lock submission since he beat Kimo at UFC 8. He has NO ground game. His submissions are not great, he does have good defense. But he is no threat from the guard. But honestly if he is in Titos Guard, and Ken decides to drop into a leg lock, he will be giving up dominate position. I hope he is that stupid.

I'm getting sick of the fighter bashing going on lately. Let's not do it at all anymore.

And for the record Tito is Mexican-American. You can hate a guy all you want but I'm sick of comments like saying white-trash or he sucks.

its ok to have a joke about fighters i rip into kenny florian all the time, today i ripped bobby southworth and sean gannon but thats just fun, i respect these guys as i know id get my ass kicked off all of them, rascist comments dont belong in sports, Toney said it in boxing and white trash has been thrown about, about fighters like diaz who also is hispanic and Ortiz, these guys have masive abilities and give it their all for the sport that we love, we should judge fighters on abilities and critisms should remain about sports related issues not race or origin, the comment about white trash above wasnt racist by the way he was only saying what everone else was saying

He said on Beatdown radio that his main trainers for this fight are the two guys he brought with him to TUF3. The boxing coach (Polack was his last name), and Mr. Chicken-and-Steak who never took off that same grey rashguard once he got it.

I wish more people thought Ken would win, because the payout would be better. As it stands, it's barely worth betting on Tito.

Edited to add: Wow. That's the first time in YEARS that I've replied to the last post on page one without noticing that there were two more pages.

BTW, I agree with Nimmy about the phrase "white trash". I had a sociology prof last year explaining the history of the term. It came from racist white southerners way back, and the idea was that if you just said "trash", your neighbor or whoever knew you meant a visible minority. And "white trash" was basically a white person who was on the same level as black people. So people think it's a dig against some classless white guy when they use the term, but really they're just speaking the language of the slave owners and the KKK.

Preach it. Tito can and has acted like a real douchebag, but as of late he has done nothing wrong in my eyes. People grow and mature. Let the past die. And even if you can't, he is definitely not white-trash, and he definitely does not suck. Neither does Shamrock. He may be out-skilled and out-muscled, but he is no pushover. If Ortiz underestimates him half as much as some of you, he's going to lose in the first round.

Sorry to disappoint you, but you're wrong. Ken KO'd KIMO in UFC 48 with a knee to the head. Although i do think that Tito will win the fight. Ken is a fairly good striker. I'm just looking forward to watching it

For a nobody, a hell of a lot of people sure know who he is and respect his abilities.

It's not so much the older fighters of the first generation, it's more or less the old guys that want to compete but do not want to evolve with the sports evolution. They still think at the back of their minds that jui-jitsu and submissions are the only backrounds needed to win a fight.

On his feet i think Ortiz is below average.
Next time he runs into a guy very good on his feet he will be ko'd.
Kinda obvious he can't take being hit in his fat face.
WTH? Are you serious? Below average on his feet and cant get hit in his fat face? Dude your on crack. He stood toe to toe with chuck for an entire round, which most people could never do, beat Belfort which is a phenomenal striker, beat Wanderlie which kicks but on his feet, destroyed ken on the feet and ground and hammered Forest and got the better of most of the excanges. I dont know many people who would call that below average. Its people like you that ought to go back to wwe or wwf and leave the mma to real fans.

I agree Tito's stand up is soooooo improved. He is a force on his feet. He may not have that 1 punch KO power. But he can throw them with the best,
