Today 06/10/06 is my 1rst Fight Forum birthday. I'm a year old now. Thank You very much. lol I'm sure you all can tell that I am by no means a computer guy. If my Avatar hasn't given that away, then you probley noticed it by my improper use of computer edicate. I belong to this Forum and to the Football Forum, and that is it. This is my computer home for sure. A great place to come when my day on the water is done and the store is closed. Thank you Guile for running a great site. Thank you Gygax for all your tid bits of info that you find. Thank you to all the
administrators, and Members. Thanks

It just so happens to be the time I get back from my shop. My peak season is nearing, and everything is getting crazy for me. An it will stay like this until Mid-October. 75 1/2 hours a week, every week until then. Not including the time on the water. But, anyway thank you guys.

If it's not too personal, what do you do or sell?

I run transport ships on the Erie Canal and Lake Ontario. I have my Master's License of 100 ton's threw the U.S. Coast Guard. I also run a fishing Charter boat on Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. I also just expanded my Archey buisness back in March. I moved the Company into a much, much, bigger building. I went from needing to make around $600 a month to keep the doors open, to $2300 a month to keep the door open. But, thats the only way I can make the shop grow. Bigger facility, Bigger clientel. Its going go so far, but I'm starting to get burned out. But anyway's, thats what I do.

That is very true. The shop is fun, and I love doing it. Same with the ships, (But it comes with a s--- load of stress.) I've been in some really f--- up situation before. If you ask my wife she'll tell you she hates it. She gets very nervous when I'm out and wishes that I would quit an stick just with the Archery. But I worked way to hard to just walk away from it. Its the worst addiction you could ever have. 4 hours on the right rig will pay me double what my store pays in an average week. I did cut way back on the amount of time I spend out on leave because of a trip I took with my oldest son. He is 6 going on 7 and is a very good line runner. We were a 1/2 mile on the Canadian side of Ontario on a very calm very hot day last July. I was watching the radar and keeping tabs on the weather. But, about 2 hours into are set the Lake just f------ exploded. Some of the worst s--- i've ever seen, much less been out in. Long story short we had to make port about 17 nautical miles passed home port. My wife was scared to death, she and are entire family thought for sure we went down. An to make matters worst the Coast Guard won't even think about going out to look. They have a cutter but they were on the other side of the Lake and the only avalible vessel's couldn't have taken the waves to get to us anyway. I was pretty rattled after that trip. With my son being out there with me, it made me feel like I was about a 150 years old after we got to dock. Poor kid couldn't stand straight for about 2 days after. His equal libreum was a mess. Sorry, didn't mean to give you my life story.

Alright, so you have probably the most kick @$$ job out of 99% of the people here--if that ain't a "man's-man" job, what is?--and you wrote something about archery? Well, post apocalypse, I want you on my team. I have two daughters--14 months and 4 years old. I can't imagine either having such a dangerous job. Be strong, brother. That's gotta be absolute terror fuel for a dad.
