New members after each UFC event...
It seems that after each UFC event, the sight gets a stream of new members and posters. On the whole, this is a very good thing as it just adds to our debates and discussions. Though here recently, there seems to be an overflow of rude, idiotic, and tasteless posters popping up. What is it with every event that there has to be like 3 to 5 people banned because of them not being able to follow simple forum rules? Is it just me or is anyone else noticing this?
Im just thankful that there are admins in here that keep a good eye out and keep these forums on track and keep them from degrading into the "YA, well f--- You!" type of discussions that other boards seem to fall down into.
Thanks FightFourm Admins.

Im a new member after last nights fight. Im interested in the league and want to learn more about it. Just cause I signed up after a fight doesn't mean I suck or shouldn't be talked to.

Exactly. Disregard what he said.. if someone gets banned, its because they deserve it.

This is your first post. How could you think this was referring to you? It is the truth though. There have been an abundance of morons who signed up last night. Just because you did sign up last night doesn't mean we are saying that you are automatically one of those. The point is that we don't tolerate alot of moronic behavior here. If you want to see how to get banned read through some of the Tito and Shamrock threads.
Also for everyone sometimes I miss things on certain threads. Don't hesitate to let any of the staff know about anything or use the "Report post" feature.

Be thankful of what we have here, I've noticed that this is a great place for intelligent discourse about MMA. This is the internet and there will always be morons, but it is much worse on many other message boards.

Exactly. I wasnt calling all the new comers anything or saying they should be ignored but actually the opposite. I said thats its a good thing for new members to join in the discussions, but to do it in a controlled, intelligent, and courtious manner. I've been posting and reading here for several months now and I love this site. I get most of my mma info from here and I truely enjoy all the debating. Put that together with the Vbookie and the predictions contest and this site is a great place to be.

yeah i sign'd up after last night. its kind of funny how i found this site. i post on another board for Music and we have general disscusion forums and sports forums and such but i was getting kind of tired of posting about MMA over ther since there is a very small following. there are some knowlegable heads over there but not enough to get some of the more indepth disscussions going. so i searched for something better and this is what i found. i like it here and i shouldnt cause any trouble. however i may be a little behind in the whats what here so dont hesitate to let me know if i break a rule or something.

Yeah, same here. 100%
I do like some new blood so I can here new opinions and other's point of veiw. I don't, however, like seeing a million threads about how Ken Shamrock got screwed, Herb Dean sucks, and the HW fight was boring. What people need to under stand is that this is MMA, not boxing. Herb Dean did right, Ken wasn't defending himself. The HW fight may have seemed boring, but this isn't "human cock fighting". The UFC is trying to take MMA away from that generalization. Grow up, every fight isn't going to be a blood bath. If that's what you're into, Spike just aired Blade:The Series.

This is definitely the best MMA forum that I've come across. Most of the people here make pretty intelligent assesments of the fights.Just go have a look at the Sherdog forum and you'll appreciate this one alot more.

I signed up last night. But I don't know rather to be offended or to ignore those who feel because they were here first that they are somehow afforded the privilege of offending others. I hope to continue to paticipate here in a constructive manner. If you resent me because I sigend up last night after seeing a particularly unsatisfactory pay per view then thats your right. Hate me for my bad timing. I wish I could have been here when you were so I would hve had respect thrust upon me for my timing instead of my contribution....
So much for a warm welcome:sport-smi

I hope you stay around too, you seem like an intelligent guy. Perhaps you've noticed by now that you need to watch your tone. For example, you said "Ortiz is a coward and a punk". I'm surprised that didn't get you whacked. You can say whatever you want here, but it has to be presented in a mature and reasoned way. And often the moderators just ban someone without a warning.
Right after the PPV we picked up a lot of posters, some of whom obviously didn't fit and were culled. OTOH there are several people who stayed on who are definitely contributing and livening up the discussion. So a big welcome to all the new guys, from a guy who hasn't been here long. It's a great board.

A forum is for everyone as far as im concerned it needs new members to keep things ticking. Though we can all appreciate it needs to be moderated correctly so rules are established to keep things in order. Otherwise we would all suffer a chaotic site full of wild members, stupid topics and silly comments.
Im sure we have all visited the rubbish sites like that and they hardley become a success. As a member of a few good forum sites this one seems to be looked after well. I enjoy some of the posts on here.

Fight Forum moderators do an amazing job at keeping this place clean and conversations intelligent. they do Ban alot of people but thats what you get when you make comments that have no meaning, such as "Tim Sylvia is a dummy". its ok to question a fighter's mentality but a better way to say the previous phrase would be "Sylvia needs to be more respectful." i enjoy fight forum and am always glad to see new names, especially in the Training Section. a big welcome to all the new faces with a genuine interest in being part of the MMA scene.

Just joined. Very high quality forum, IMO, especially in comparison to Sherdog.
