We might get to see White vs Ortiz
Just read this on OnlyUFC.com
Ortiz-White Sparring Match To Be Released
Reported By OnlyUFC
Tito Ortiz told Live Audio Wrestling that his upcoming sparring bout with Dana White will be released on DVD and sold through various websites.
Previously, most had been of the impression that the match would be kept from the public. Since White routinely got the upper hand in their past sparring contests, and thus is considered a favorite, the assumption was that UFC would not want fans learning that a businessman, albeit a trained boxer, was able to outspar a Champion-level UFC fighter.
Ortiz was promised a sparring match with White as part of his recently-signed three-fight deal with the UFC. The deal also includes a title match, assuming he is able to defeat Ken Shamrock this weekend.

Woah. Seriously? I know Dana boxed amateur for a while and probably still keeps in shape, but he's no fighter and he's said as much. If this is true, I'm very surprised.

doesn't suprise me too much, if he focused on that all his life, and now probably has opprotunities to train with some great boxers. Plus Tito isn;t realy known for his amazing striking talent.

i wondered about whites abilty for a while, as i have watched UFC for about 2 years id like to think iv learned quite a bit compared to the average joe who knows little about MMA, for white who runs, associates and watches trianing, never mind boxing training he would know how to train, but ortiz getting beat up, lets be serious, is this credible?
ps. il edit this in the morning when im sober
(thats better)

Upper hand in pure boxing sparring, or is this MMA-sparring? If MMA i don't see how white would beat ortiz.
And why not just hype this up and tack it onto a PPV to Increase PPV-Buys?

PLease dont let UFC turn into WWF/WWE type events. All this sport needs is the manager fighting fighters, ALA Vince Mcmahn. Whats next staging fights and popping blood capsules and scripted monologue???

Still On -Tito vs. Dana
I know this was posted before but it seemed the hum of the thread was thinking it had taken place. MMA Weekly put up a news tid-bit about the upcoming sparring match.
Link (o-_-)===O(X_x)
Interesting though it mentions that Dana White was Tito's manager at one point.

he gets to put on the gloves and let out some aggression on White, who was Ortiz' manager before Zuffa bought the UFC.

..which I didn't know.

Whether it happens or not, it seems like a publicity gimmick to me.

I wonder if Vinny Mac is going to corner Dana or be the special guest referee.

If it was a publicity stunt then wouldn't Dana want to have it viewed by the publuic? It seems to me that he tries to downplay it a bit anytime it is mentioned.

Tito is a Fighter, who trains regularly. Dana White does not. I think he boxed, but how long ago was that? Too long. Also big difference between being a boxer and an MMA fighter.
Yeah tito would beat Dana faster than he beat shammy.

But it is strictly a boxing match, Dana's years of focused training on solely boxing may very well be better then Tito's boxing skills.

dana whites ego would never let the public see it since he will get smacked around by tito.

Dana Vs Tito is one of the last of things UFC needs to do... This is a very stupid and childish publicity stunt which I hope backfires tremendously.

I think Dana's reputation might go up if its a aired fight for everyone to see, win or lose.
I don't know about you but i'd definitly have more respect for Dana, if he had the balls to put the "sparring match" live on a PPV, knowing full well he'd probabley get owned by tito.
Would make more PPV ticket sales too.

I read that Tito made him put it in his contract right behind the title shot
