Nate Quarry was cleared by doctors to return in May, but he went ahead and had surgery. He had some nagging knee injuries or something, and he will be out until early 2007. I believe I read that at MMAWeekly back in May or June. So he is still with the UFC.

I enjoy seeing new talent because you never know who is going to be the next star. The Rampages, Rizzos, Rodriguez of the world are big names, but that doesn't mean they are great fighters anymore. Like jonny said, the UFC has enough big names to put butts in seats and sell tickets. Why fill the undercard with big names as well? That's what the WFA is trying to do, and they may sink before swimming.

I'm a fan of bringing in fresh new talent. I think it gives these fighters a true UFC identity, and that's what Dana White wants. Why not take guys and grow them as fighters in the UFC? That way, fans know who they are watching in years to come.
