*SPOILER* Juarez vs Barrera 2 undercard and main event

I'm getting this commentary off boxingscene.com

Ok, here we go.

The first bout is prospect Jorge Paez, Jr. vs. Derek Campos.

After a strong first round for Campos, Paez came back in the second. Paez landed a sneaky combo that send Campos to the mat in the second, but moments later Campos caught him with his own power shot that had Paez rocked bad for the first time in his career. Paez decided to trade punches and had Campas in trouble after landing a hard right. Only two rounds left in the fight.

37-37 a draw, 38-36 and 38-36 for Jorge Paez, Jr. Boos from the crowd as Campos captured the crowd. Paez is now 11-0. Four rounds are over. Paez won the third, but Campos began landing hard punches in the fourth and final round and blasted Paez down to the mat in the final ten seocnds, and got up out on his feet, but the fight was over two seconds later. Scores are coming up.

The next bout is Jorge Barrios vs. Joan Guzman. Since Barrios was unable to make the super featherweight limit, only Guzman can win the WBO title. If Barrios wins, the title is vacant. Barrios is 148 pounds tonight, Guzman is 143.

The first round may set the pace for this fight. Both fighters are throwing wild shots, both fighters have been rocked and the action is non-stop.

After four rounds, Guzman is landing better punches and being more accurate.

After 6 rounds, Barrios is behind on points and the action is still hot. Barrios losing a point for a low blow in the sixth round. The low blow deduction by the ref was terrible, the shot was not low, and even the HBO announcers were complaining that the ref is making the fight lose steam.

After 8 rounds, Barrios appears to be getting tired. Barrios landing at times, but he is unable to hurt Guzman. Guzman's superior hand speed and boxing ability is the difference.

Ten rounds are in the books. Guzman is still schooling Barrios in the fight, as the bigger man is unable to get off with his punches.

The fight is over, Barrios tried to rally in the final two rounds, but Guzman held on and should win and easy decision. Official scores are coming up.

114-113 for Barrios, 114-113 for Guzman, 115-112 for the winner and new WBO super featherweight champion Joan Guzman. I can't believe that one judge had Barrios winning, and the other two had the fight as close as they had it because Guzman won a majority of the rounds and Barrios lost the point.

The next fight is Israel Vazquez vs. Jhonny Gonzalez.

After two rounds, Vazquez is using his speed advantage to outbox Gonzalez. The crowd is actually booing because the fight is a boxing match and not the war we all expected. Vazquez has some bad swelling near the right eye. Gonzalez is bleeding from his nose.

Gonzalez is back in the fight, knocking Vazquez down in the fourth round and landing some big punches for a 10-8 round.

Gonzalez has really taken over this fight, Vazquez is unable to get himself back into the fight.

After 6, the crowd is booing as Gonzalez is easily winning each passing round. Gonzalez knocked Vazquez down again at the end of the sixth.

In the seventh, Vazquez dropped Gonzalez with a monster shot that had him out on his feet, but he was able to battle his way to the end of the round as Vazquez tried to finish him off.

Vazquez appeared to knock Gonzalez again in the eighth with a body shot, but the ref called it a slip.

Vazquez is really starting to bust up Gonzalez after nine. I'm wondering if Gonzalez will make it to the final bell to win a decision.

The fight is over in the tenth. Vazquez knocked down Gonzalez with a huge three punch combo. Gonzalez gets up and appears in bad shape, gets up and his corner throws in the towel. The father of Gonzalez and the HBO crew are stunned that Gonzalez's trainer has thrown in the towel because Gonzalez was up on the cards by a wide margin.

At the time of the stoppage, Gonzalez was up on all three cards with scores of 85-83, 85-83 and 86-82.

Now up the main event... Juarez vs Barrera 2.

Round 1 - Barrera starts off with the jab and lands a left hook to the body. Right hand for Juarez. Left hand for Barrera. Right hand for Barrera and a left. Barrera controlling Juarez with the jab. Barrera easily wins the first round.

HBO scores the first for Barrera.

Round 2 - Barrera is back to the jab and making Juarez miss all of his power punch attempts. Barrera popping Juarez with the jab every time he tries to attack. Juarez goes to the body. Barrera with an uppercut. Combo by Barrera. Juarez to the body. Barrera using that jab as he circles. Round scored for Barrera.

HBO scores the 2nd round for Barrera.

Round 3 - Juarez now getting more aggressive. Going to the body of Barrera. Barrera now coming back with left hooks. Juarez landing on Barrera against the ropes to the body. They trade punches on the ropes, but Juarez getting off better. Barrera jabs, Juarez to the body. They trade left hooks. I scored the round for Juarez.

HBO scored the third for Juarez.

Round 4 - Barrera back to the jab. Juarez combos at close range to the body. Barrera with a combo that ends with a left hook. Barrera to the body, now Juarez goes back to the body again. Juarez with a combo. Barrera jabbing. Juarez wins a good exchange at the end. I gave the round to Juarez, Barrera appeared to take the round off, but I will note that the HBO announcers are very biased towars Barrera in their announcing.

HBO scores the fourth for Juarez, he sees the light unlike the rest of the HBO crew.

Left hand by Barrera to the body. Juarez with a big uppercut that pushes Barrera back. Juarez attacks Barrera against the ropes. The right eye of Juarez is swelling bad. Combo by Barrera, left hook by Barrera. Round scored for Barrera.

Juarez combos and Barrera knocks him back with a his own punches. Juarez to the body. Close round for Barrera as the crowd now booing more and more for the lack of excitment.

Round 10 - Barrera jabbing Juarez all over the ring. Juarez cant seem to get off with his punches as Barrera making him miss and keeps landing the jab. Juarez trying to land against Barrera on the ropes. Barrera makes Juarez miss his combos and jabbing Juarez back. Barrera with a left hook. Right cross by Juarez. Round scored for Barrera, crowd boos some more.
