2) Your picks should include each of the following for every fight on the card:
--Winner of the fight (worth 1 point)

And you must have predicted the Winner and Method correctly in order to have a chance to get the point for the Round. 5) If there is a tie for most points at the end of the event, the person who sent the picks to me first will be declared the winner. So get your picks in early.

DEADLINE is Saturday, September 23rd at 7:00pm EST. No picks will be accepted after that time.

Make sure your picks are complete when you send them to me because once you send them in, they are final. No changing any picks and any incomplete picks are not included in the contest.

Again, do not post predictions in this thread. Use this thread only if you have any questions regarding the contest...or if you want to do a little friendly trash talking.

There is one thing I have been curious about though.

If the outcome of the fight is a TKO,but we chose KO do we still get the points for it??Or are they looked at as completely different outcomes???

Get what I'm saying?

I've been wondering about that as well, especially since in the UFC rules it says that KO is not an official outcome. So I tend to go with the TKO over KO because of that. For the purposes of this competition, I'm assuming KO and TKO are different outcomes?

My picks are in!!!

As far as the TKO/KO things goes, I may be mistaken but I believe Last Exit has counted them as the same outcome. So either way you pick, you get your points.

TKO-KO-DQ all count as the same outcome.

And seriously, is it that hard to send the picks in the format I ask for? I already know the fight card. I don't need it pasted within the picks.

Many thanks to the 90% of you who actually do send them in the format I ask for.

From what I have been able to gather, in boxing if a fighter goes down and is unable to get up, that is a KO. A TKO would be when the ref actually stops the fight because a fighter would/should not be able to continue. Since in MMA if a fighter literally is knocked unconcious, the opponent is expected to continue attacking until the ref stops the fight, resulting in a TKO. Hence there is no KO in UFC.

I agree, it's just that the commentators say often refer to the KO as well as fight finder. Look at Arlovski's wins for example: http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/f...?fighterID=270

When Rich stopped Quarry, he didn't follow up after the KO punch, so technically the ref didn't stop the fight... Ace stopped the fight with that awesome punch and knew he didn't need to follow it up.

But just calling it a TKO instead of KO would make things less confusing.
