Mirko had no idea Barnett had tapped in that first fight.
And him punching Dos Caras and Aleks is completely understandable. The fighters aren't watching it from a couch all relaxed, where they can just be 100% sure "oh, he's out. I can leave it at that".
It's the ref's job to stop the fight, the fighters are just thinking about finishing the opponent. If they realize the guy's out, of course they'll let it go (like Mirko did against Vovchanchyn).
Chuck's added some punches to Randy too, that look bad in replays, but it's not slow-motion in real life, it happens quick.
