I'd suggest trying out a smaller show first. It is probably going to be a similar crowd, but you can get in for $20 a head, and would otherwise completely miss the show as it won't be televised.
Maximum return for minimum dollar, and if you hate the crowd, you can always bail and not feel like you are missing anything.

I went to see Arlovski/Sylvia 2 at the Pond in Anaheim(UFC 60 I think it was?), anywas, it was a hell of an experience, but I doubt I'll put much thought into going to another one live again. I'd rather just catch it on PPV from now on. You get to see SO much more on TV than at the event, and ticket prices can be pretty outrageous. Mine were $200 seats, and while they were ok seats, I couldn't see a whole lot. The only reasons I would say to go catch it live is if you REALLY want to say "I was THERE at that one!!!" or if you just want to feel the energy. When Tito came out to "Mosh" for his fight against Forrest Griffin, the place was ELECTRIC.

It really depends on the fight. When you see it live there is alot of added excitement and the atmosphere is great. I went to UFC 40 and it was amazing.

i have been to 3 events this year(59, 60, and 63) Each time i had great seats ($200) I could say if you are sitting in those seats you wont have a bad angle. Occasionally you might get a cameraman in the way, or photographer. But there is nothing like being there live. Each time it has been worth the money. Sure you have the drunken morons still. But luckily everytime i have gone the people near me actually know what they are talking about, and are pretty cool to shoot the **** with. I would suggest staying away from the cheap seats. It doesnt look like anyone up there is having a good time. They are never standing, prolly cuz they might fall to their death. But they just look bored. I bet they watch the whole event on the big screens since they are at eye level.

The UFC Vegas crowds are good. Vegas Security and Police jump right away on problems. There are a lot of idiots, but you usually team up with good fans and you kinda look out for each other, which is the cool thing about UFC events.
I've been to Tito/Matushenko, Tito?Liddell, Tito/ Ken, Tito Couture (My facvoite), Tito/Belfort, and the first two Liddell/Couture bouts. I'm not a big Hughes/Franklin fan and those two have monopolized the big UFC events the last year and a half. I WILL go to a Tito/Liddell rematch if that happens.
I love going to the fights. You always manage to bump in to fighters. I've sat at the bar with Quentin Jackson, Frank Mir, Cabbage, etc... All of them are cooler than a fan and talk to you about fighting. Rampage was the best though. I sat a good 2 hours talking his head off about Tito, him, Chuck, his bouts with Silva etc.. I mean it was awesome and got me more hooked on the sport. One fan thought I was a training partner we talked so long, which was cool.
But the FUNNIEST MMA fighter I met......
Freakin Wes Sims. I bumped in to this fool at the MGM Grand food court and his big almost 7 foot ass was reading my Bas Rutten "Liver Shot" shirt and was like "What about Head Stomps?"
Then I was like, dude, when theyre as tall and lanky as you????? Why not a good ol Frank Mir Head Stomp? For me, just give me a baseball bat if someone as big as you came after me. He was so funny and just kept on and on about that Mir bout (this was before their rematch where Mir KO'd him MT style).
Go to an event, you wont be sorry, even if the event sucks.

I didnt even mention meeting the fighters. At UFC 63, I met Rampage, Hendo, Din Thomas, Nate Quarry, Joe Riggs, Joe Stevenson, Jeremy Jackson (he was with a girl, I didnt ask if it was the lifeguard) Dean Lister.
At UFC 59 I was sitting behind Sean Sherk's Bro In-Law. HE got us into a few after parties. Had drinks with a few guys, met ALOT of fighters.
I have yet to meet a fighter who was a dick. Every single one of them would take the time for a picture or autograph, or just a brief greeting and handshake.

Absolutely. All the fighters and coaches I've met were very friendly to the fans and took time out.
The ONE GUY who was a dick????? To my wife anyway. Joe Rogan.
Guy was a class A jerkoff. Then I told my wife, "Forget him" he's a wannabe who watches people eat worms for a living. An MMA Fighter wannabe who like won some FAN FOR A DAY contest for life and just happens to be the PBP for the UFC. Dude was a jerk.

Meh no biggie. At the end of the day as far as UFC is concerned, who REALLY gives a damn about Joe Rogan?(Besides joe ofcoarse). Its not like anyone watches UFC just to see the guy.
His play-by-play is alright but MANY others like randy, could do sloppy joe's job and probabley BETTER too.
I honestly would'nt hate on him for being a dick though, as that probabley just stems from him being so down on himself. Afterall, in a room full of UFC fighters, he's probabley the LAST person anyone EVER talks too, assuming they talk to him at all.
Mr.Roegan just wants some attention. Fo-show!
