Yeah, probably, but it just seems that they are skipping opportunities in that weight class when Dana White keeps saying Chuck is pound for pound the best in the world. Bring in the Lyoto and Rampage and let him prove it.

I've never heard of the UFC trying to bring Lyoto in though. Maybe for the same reason they nuked Lindland. Bad matchup for Rich.

They probably were willing to spend the dough. If having a name like Rampage on their cards creates a bigger draw maybe it was worth it to them. You've got to spend it to make it.

Actually that was supposed to be a rhetorical question.

Dana White said he was talking with him. I just can't believe he got outbidded by WFA. Was it a one fight deal?

I think maybe. The good news is, the UFC is still talking to him. Dana still brings it up once in a while. That would be great news, just what LHW needs until the TUF guys are ready for a shot at the belt.

He must be ready to sign him. I'd like to think Dana wouldn't be drawing interest on a fighter then not deliver after the Wanderlei drama.

I think you're right. And I'm hoping he wants to make it up to the fans for all the hype that went nowhere. He doesn't have control of the Wanderlei situation, but he can control this one. It's just going to pinch a bit.

Alright then, who should he fight first? Do they treat him like they did Silva and feed him a TUF that has had some success? Rashad or Griffen?

Good question. I'd like to see him walk right into the title fight, but your scenario probably makes more sense. Griffin would be a good possibility. Evans' wrestling could be dangerous.

It's hard to do anything with LHW because it's so shallow. Even worse than HW, IMO. I'd like to see Rampage vs the winner of Evans/Griffin for the title shot. And I want to be Joe Silva.

Okay, how about the winner of Griffen/Evans, the loser of Tito/Chuck II, then if he gets past that the title shot. That's a three fight deal, we get to see Rampage/Chuck II, and Tito/Rampage, assuming Rampage wins the first two.

Tito and Rampage have made it clear they won't fight each other. They're buddies.
