What do you think is wrong... It's his first loss in the UFC, the fight ended in the first round, he looked verry bad after it. I don't think it's easy... I belive u have seen Matt Huges calming down the wive of Rich... He better prepare for a scandal at home...

Dude, easy, there's a language barrier here to start. The Athletic commisions post injury reports following the events. And the trouble at home comment, come on, they train together and I'm sure Matt's wife wouldn't let any shannigans go on.

Right now i think what hurts the most for Rich Franklin is his pride. A broken nose can heal, but they will be showing that beatdown thousands of times on highlight reels across the world. I expect Rich too comeback with the eye of the tiger and go back too dominating anybody that stands in his way. Cue the Rocky music.

its gotta be tough, though. to go from dominating his segment of the ufc for so long tobeing on someone elses highlight reel, i wouldnta thunk it. i think him beating a worn out shamrock and an evan tanner that has more than a few question marks about his ability led to push that fraanklin may not have been ready for. even in his reign, who did he really beat? i think he pulled it off for a long time, but now has to get back to what goty him to where he was.

thats the worst part of lossing is alot of people who used to back you are gonna look at what you did and start to evaluate it under a different light. i still Believe Rich is head and shoulders above alot of people in the MW division. its just Anderson happen'd to dominate Rich in his most comfortable area. if they fight agian i highly expect it to go totally different. Rich WILL try to take the fight to the mat. i think he'll still lose but i think he'll put up a much better fight then last night.

This is my first post since the fight actually happened. A lot of you know I'm a big Franklin fan and I hated to see him go down like that. But he really did get totally dominated in a big way. Andersen Silva's clinch was incredible.
I don't know whats been talked about in other threads but to me Rich didn't look right mentally or physically for this fight. In fact, he didn't even seem right when he was at the TUF house and everyone was ragging on him. I wonder if he let all the hype concerning Silva just mentally tear him up. If thats the case it sucks because I always thought Rich was pretty strong mentally. Maybe it was just me and I'm not trying to find excuses, but Rich just did not look right. Hopefully he gets his head on straight and comes back with a vengence.
As for Silva, I've got to give him serious props. He really is a beast and now I'm 100% confident that he's the top dog in the MW division and I'm not sure anyone's got a real serious shot at beating him. He could be here to stay for a long time.
The only negative I see in having Silva as the champ is that he doesn't speak english and it's hard for the UFC audience to understand and relate to him as easy as it is an english speaeking fighter.

Yeah, but it gives a little more credibility to the title of "World Champion" now that we have something other than Americans in all the Title shots. At least next month they will further add to that credibility when a Canadian holds the WW title .

It is usually released a bit after the events by the state athletic commissions as well as fighters sallaries. Keep searching for it or wait and someone is bound to post them on here.

I agree. Maybe there is something going on in his personal life that is affecting him. The way his wife was crying before the match makes me think she is not into his fighting. It would be hard to get ready for a fight if you didn't have the support at home.

Rich just got out of surgery. They were able to locate his nuts, they had been knocked up to his throat. His nose was found over near his right ear. His neck had been stretched about 3 inches but the doc said it will heal up on its own.
The only thing they could not fix was his pride.

This kind of post is not needed. Sure the guy got destroyed and we can critize his fight any way we feel the need, But to come out and make fun of him isnt called for. He is a great fighter and it takes alot of guts to do what these guys do. Lets see you go in there and see if you dont get owned.

^^ Agreed
Rich is a real MMA fighter and one of the top guys at 185 for sure..........He didn't seem into the fight though I agree on that something seemed off about him just walking out to the cage.
I think its kinda funny people seem to alomst be talking like Silva retired him or something............Rich will still own 90% of the 185ers in the UFC but as Joe said Silva is a different kind of striker!!
I wouldn't be to shocked to hear he wasn't 100% he might have known he had something wrong still and just didn't want to say...............And just kept saying he was 100% leading up to the fight.
O yeah and about the World Title thing americans like just got the titles Arlovski had the heavywaight title for a while and he is not american, And all the title fights haven't been american vs american Riggs vs Hughes was a filler fight cuz Parision* who is mid eastern I think LoL was hurt last min...... David L. is Canadian so is St. P who is fighting for the title the 2nd time around in a month or so and Babalu is Brazilian and he just fought Chuck for Light Heavy, So I don't know what you guys where talking about if I read those post right.
