Matt Hughes And Rich Franklin
Everyone knows that Matt Hughes has said before hand that if Rich Franklin were to lose the belt that he would step up a weight class and take on Anderson Silva. Just curious but what a predictament it would be if Matt Hughes were to win the belt from Silva where would this put Rich Franklin at? Would he actually want to fight his friend Matt or would Rich move up a weight class just to not fight Matt? Just a thought.

Friendship goes out the window when it comes to fights, in the ring its business. I doubt franklin would'nt fight matt IF it was for the title.
Honestly, you expect a rich franklin back in his game, to just sit around and stagnate when he has the chance to go for the belt again?
Anyway forget hughes going to MW. He has his hands full with WW and GSP as it is. IMO, if he defends his belt against GSP, the guy has done plenty enough. No need to go jumping up a weightclass too, especially when he'd probabley catch a beatdown by silva in the process.

I think that if Matt loses his WW title next month he will move to MW. He would probably get an automatic title shot a MW. If he successfully defends his title at WW then he will probably stay at WW for at least 2 or 3 more fights, or until he loses his WW belt.
So I guess it's all up to GSP on whether or not we get to see matt hughes eat one of those vicious Anderson Silva knees.

As far as Matt fighting Rich for the MW title....that is a good question. I don't think he would but then again if he has the MW title and Rich is a contender for a title I don't see either of them backing down and handing it to the other....I guess they would have to fight.
I can't see Rich moving up to fight Chuck.....unless he wants a repeat of what happened last week but with fists instead of knees.

If Matt remains WW champ and would happen to win the MW belt he may just sit on it and not defend it. Allow it to go back to the top 2 fighters? He may just try to win it for personal accomplishment? LOL Yeah I'm going way out on a limb but you never know

I think the big fights for Rich Franklin may be at 205 pounds. I know he will probably fight to get his title back at 185, but a move to 205 isn't out of the question. I'd like to see him fight Tito, Griffin, Babalu, Liddell, etc. The move wouldn't be a bad one for him, as he would have a little more punching power than he does at 185. It's always an option.
I'm not giving up on him though after getting dominated by Silva. I think I'm just now recovering from it as a fan. :/
