Your overall views about Real Deal?
Here are my 5 pro's and con's
PRO:
Of course, the general production values
Seeing all of the Pride officials attempt to speak in English.. it shows tons of respect for this country and they did a pretty good job.
The fact that fans didnt boo, chant USA, or act like drunks
Trigg was on the mark last night, and I have never really been a fan of his announcing before
Yuji Shimada allowed to be the ref
CON:
Audio quality sounded mono at times
Screaming lady is cool in japan, annoying in the states
The matchups were all generally one-sided
Joey Villasenor fight stopped a little too early (then again, im just dissapointed at his showing in PRIDE so far)
The 20 minute intermission, while needed for the fans at the Thomas and Mack center, could have been filled with a mini documentery about Coleman or Fedor, instead of showing us the same fights we just watched. It did however, provide an excellent time to go get some fast food :P
I loved the event as a whole and I know it will get better with the amount of events they plan to have in the USA. I don't know if this is a pro or a con, but me and my friends thought it was hilarious that everyone booed NSAC

The intermission was a little odd but I am still think I'd rather have one fight after another with one intermission than have 10+ minutes between all the fights. I kind of saw this show as a showcasing of Pride's top fighters...and Butterbean.
I was a bit upset with the stoppage of Villasenor but he didn't argue the stoppage so I guess I don't need to.
I wonder if they will eventually cave and allow elbows?
I thought it was a decent show and I'm excited to see future shows.

Well, the elbows issue is a hot one and since Pride Japan does not allow elbows due to the fact that they easily open up cuts and in a way rip off the fans due to fights stopping from cuts, I don't see it happening here or there for that matter.

I'm all for that. I just know a lot of people are always complaining about it. I guess that is another thing I'll add is there was no sign of slowdown with the modified rules. Yeah it would have been good to see some knees on the ground at certain points but they were still exciting. Even a fight I thought was just going to be a ground war with Barnett and Nastula.

Did you see where Nakamura was about to go into the North-South position to knee and then realized that he couldnt knee Galbraith so he took a back mount and pepperd Galbraith with shots? :P

I think the intro music needs to be more of the choice of the fighters.. i like UfC's a little better how they have the fighters walk through the crowds-- builds more suspense.
Keep the lady. I like her in the states as well-- just don't have her doing multiple intros for the same person.
I honestly like the cage vs. the ring a lot more but i doubt PRIDE will change it. .. And allow elbows!!!
If they could change just a few things I could see them winning over the American public

I was glad that the fans booed the NSAC. That was a pro for me, LOL.
I did not mind the lady ring announcer, but why so many introductions? That seemed lame.
The intermission did not bother me, but re-watching the fights we just saw was lame. They could have easily thrown together a "Best of PRIDE FC" video highlights reel that would have kept me watching. As it is, the people I was with and I went to make a run for the border to get a taco fix.
I did like the production values, except the sound audio was not perfect. It was a huge event and the PRIDE production staff made it an extravaganza.
I may be mistaken, but I think we saw every match in the order that they were shown. I did not think that there were any preliminary fights that were not shown on the PPV in the order that they actually occurred. THAT is what I have been saying that the UFC needs to start doing. The PRIDE event was longer, and I did not mind that at all.
I did think that the Joey Villasenor fight was stopped too early, but it was hard to tell if he was KO'd or just knocked down and dazed. Joey had his hands up in defense. He stood up immediately and did not look rocked (as Rogan would say). But, I could easily be wrong because we only saw his back when he got up while the referee saw his face and his eyes. Sitting in his corner, he looked dissappointed, but that could be just the look of losing.

i hate to be devils advocate but i wasnt a fan at all of this show... how about some good close fights..?? cant just put maulings for EVERYfight... it was bad matchmaking IMO.. also as usual the production was horrible...
it was great to see lawler get a win though he has so much potential and is very fun to watch...
the poor production really kills it for me.... id rather just find hte fights later on youtube instead of paying 40... at least rogan keeps me entertained

The production was "horrible"? Well I guess when you watch fights on youtube the production value does seem poor.

awesome payouts, this just shows what a bunch of cheapasses Dana White and the Fertitas are they are bilking millions of dollars from the fans and fighters. I hope the UFC fighters are taking notice as I think PRIDE is here to stay in the states, the Feburary show should be awesome.

I think the entrances were cool, especially near the end when the fighters were coming out of that thing that spun open. Why do you think Pride is treating Nastula unfairly? Because of the people they've put him against? Hopefully they keep him, he's definitely a "gamer". I think if Cro-Cop shows up for his rematch with Fedor looking as sharp as he did at Final Conflict Absolute, he has the best chance of beating Fedor out of anybody. As far as Shogun goes, you may be right. I want to see him vs. lil Nog again. Scratch that. I MUST see them go at it again.

I TOO, was almost in tears while watching Coleman and his daughters. That was one of the sadest moment i've ever witnessed. Somehow that and Franklin's wife
disheartened me about the whole sport. It put a more human edge on these fights. Idk :/
Also:
Fedor's next fight should be with that annoying announcer banshee lady, until one of them dies, oh and she can't use the special power of being able to dessimate people's auditory systems.

What is the total compacity of people can hold
where PRIDE "the Real Deal" had there event in LV?
The number of attendance looks good but I think UFC's attendance is larger, correct me if I am wrong.
Well I hope there will be more people watching this event cause the fights was Great....
