What is it about Pride thats makes "Better" Fighters?
It seems that there is a trend, not just here but at other forums. When a UFC guy Vs Pride guy debate pops up, most will tend to lean towards the Pride fighter to get the win in such a fantasy match-up. While there does seem to be some justification for this, example: Pride's HW divison compared to UFC's HWs.
My question is: What is it about Pride that somehow makes, or makes MMA fans think, they they are simply better fighters?
Is it because of the "Cage Vs Ring"? Perhaps the cage presents an advantage that a ring does not.
Or maybe one could say that since Pride has a reputation for higher-calibur fighters, perhaps pride just has a way of attracting the "Best of the best" to compete there in order to test their skills?
I'm not sure myself. What are your thoughts on this?
