you're assuming the fight would allow kicks. how would Mirko do against a top ranked HW boxer under boxing only rules? probably not as well as he'd like. the more techniques allowed in a fight the more likely the fighter with various skills will win. however if you reverse the situation and begin restricting techniques the odds favor someone who trains solely in one discipline. the MMA vs. Boxing vs. Kickboxing vs. TKD vs. Karate vs. Kung fu Vs. JKD vs. hockey vs. tennis vs. golf arguement gets old and never really gets anywhere.
