Leites lands a good combo, but gets another takedown attempt stuffed. Leites gets a takedown and gets half guard. Kampmann gets out and gets to his feet. Round comes to an end. Thales Leites takes that round 10 9.

Round 2:

Couple exchanges, kampmann seems to be getting the better of them. Kampmann working the leg kicks. Kampmann getting the better of the exchanges again, Kampmann stuffs another Leites takedown attempt. Kampmann landing some nice shots to the head. Leites nose is bleeding. Kampmann throwing some more leg kicks. Leites hit with a nice jab and shoots out of desperation.. round ends. 6th fight: Matt Serra vs Chris Lytle

Round 1:

Serra has lytles pressed up against the cage, lytle landing some small hits to the head, trying not to be taken down. Serra using a lot of foot stomps. Lytle avoids a sweep. Both working from the clinch.. serra working to get a takedown.. but lytle doing a good job keeping it standing. Lytle takes serra down. Lytle in closed guard. Serra has an armbar, but Lytle pulls out. Both to their feet again. Matt pulls guard, but lytle stands up again. Round one ends.. Was very close... Not really sure who to give that round to, lytle had the only takedown, but serra had a sub attempt.

Round 2:

Clinched again, Serra working foot stomps again. Round was mostly in the clinch with serra trying to take lytle down... with no avail. Very close round again. I give it to Serra, he seemed to be more aggressive, but could easily go either way.

Round 3:

Serra lands a spinning backfist and gets a takedown. Fight gets stood up.
uh sorry.. i missed like the last 3min, people came in my room and I missed what happened.. but its going to decision. And it will be very close.

Matt Serra wins the Decision

Unhappy

I love Serra, but I just don't see him doing anything at 170. He just won, but I dunno if he'll have a chance vs Hughes or GSP.

Should have gone 4th round.

serra is a great fighter, but at 170 it seems like he spends 80% of the fight trying to get the takedown. Why does he never go for the classic (double-knee) shoot? At 5'6" he needs to shoot low to cancel out his opponents height advantage, right?

Just goes to show you how enthusiastic Dana is about the MW division changing any time soon.

Anyone know what happened in the non-televised bouts?
