Default Mayweather vs De La Hoya

It is official!!! Said on ESPN that this will probally be Mayweathers last fight. And he will be fighting Oscar De La Hoya. I think that De La Hoya has a chance...

Default Mayweather vs De La Hoya

This is gonna be a cracking fight. I'll definitely be getting this pay per view, if i can. Mayweather will be the favourite but I'm hoping De La Hoya will win.

Should be interesting. If Mayweather pulls it off, he'll cement himself as the best ever being undefeated P4P in his division and moving up.

And perfect time to retire.

If DelaHoya wins? He too, cements himself as having beaten one of the best, and he has a knack for raking up wins vs. the best.

Pretty Boy vs Golden Boy?! Aww man, I can't wait. I got to go with DLH on this one. Mayweather hasn't fought anyone like DLH. DLH is going to show him what a true boxer can do. I just hope Floyd doesn't dance around running from him all night. If it's your last fight, fight dammnit!

Default Don't be fooled or confused on May 5th!

DLH has been a great force in boxing for many years. His entertainment value, talent, and ability has made him as popular and as important he is to boxing today. But DLH is way past his prime, we ALL know that. Why should DLH fight a fighter that is in his prime in PBF?

This fight happening will obscure the opinion of many boxing fans especially those who do not realize that DLH is not the fighter that he once was. Although DLH beat a overhyped one dimensional Ricardo Mayorga, he has performed poorly or has lost in 3 of his last 4 fights (lost to Mosely, did very poorly against Sturm, lost to Bhop). This being said, if and when PBF outpoints DLH, the boxing public will view him as if he was greater than DLH. When in all actuality, PBF will be fighting the 34 year old bone aching, back injured version of the once great DLH.

Don't be fooled by Mayweather beating DLH, a fight between them when they were both in their primes would be alot more competitive, and would probably end with DLH as the victor.

DLH is greater than PBF, not only because of his acomplishments, but because of his ENTERTAINMENT VALUE.

Perhaps, but I still think it'll be a good fight. I'm not the biggest De La Hoya fan, but he does come to fight.

Should be a good fight. I kinda wish Mayweather would've taken on ricky hatton before DLH but I had no idea he was retiring. I think he'll be one of those fighters that keeps coming out of retirement.

Mayweather is a great boxer, but I hate him for some reason.

For the first time in my life I will be rooting for DLH.

I have heard May 5, 2007 will be the fight between DLH and PBF.

Also, Mayweather Sr. , will still be training DLH for this fight, can't wait for this!!!!

In Mayweathers last fight, his opponent kept hitting him with a left hook. And it was a slow left hook. De La Hoya's left hook is lighting fast that comes out of nowhere. This fight is going to be closer than many people think.

This is what I like, an excellent match up - 2 great boxers collide. Could go either way, so I will place my bet on the one with the better paying odds..

I'm pretty sure they show the other fights on the card.
