I always hear alot about IAm here in Montreal, there's a lot of people who listen to them. but never get a chance to listen to them. I gotta check'em out sometime.

The song is Samourai but it's from Shurikn. The album name is : Ou je vis.
Shurikn is a member of the Group IAM. One of the most popular french rap group in Europe. They actually rap with Wu-Tang in some of their albums.

I was in Montreal during the french music festival. Great city. But.....
Rap doesn't seem to carry the same street cred in french.
Still was a great time
!

Yeah, I've lived here for nearly all my life and I listened to Quebec music maybe once or twice ever. Last time for me was last year. I heard a song by Shurikn that a co-worker at work was playing (but now I learned he's from France. Oh well). It wasn't bad
IMO hiphop music from Quebec is ok... it just lacks something to make it really good.
But Ontario, and Toronto's got good music. 
Off topic, but I still think Matt Hughes has the best entrance music in the UFC

They were compitent musicians just that it seemed alittle off when they started rhyming in french. I wish my french was better so I could understand what was being said. Not that it would help. I have a hard enough time keeping up with most of the english rappers.
