Wow, this is a great thread that I never knew existed, lol... The only ones I had actually heard of prior to coming here were Bill O'Reilly and John McCain.

Good thing there aren't any hot trolls bashing MMA mindlessly... I might actually feel a little bad about blacklisting them.
Actually no, I wouldn't

Add Jay Mariotti (Chicago Sun-Times, Around the Horn) to the list:
Out of Bounds: MMA - ESPN Video
Because of idiots like this, MMA has a long way to go to be accepted as a combat sport and not as an ultra-violent sideshow, as he would have you believe.

I see this list growing alot more with EliteXC's deal and a possible UFC deal not far down the road. I get a kick out of that guy thinking MMA is going to ruin good old fashioned wholesome network TV. Maybe he'd rather CBS air reruns of The Waltons?

You're not missing much. There are a few shows I watch regularly but not the reality shows. The only "reality" show I don't miss is TUF...or if there's a Contender (boxing).

i don't feel like i am missing anything but MMA and a few other things. When i do watch regular TV i am usually so disgusted after a few minutes that i have to shut it off. Its been 10 years now since i last had cable television. I feel special.

I'm not seeing the logic in this MMA Blacklist. Sure, these guys are anti-MMA, and we as MMA fans dislike what they say about our favourite sport. Yet I don't see how creating a blacklist is going to affect them in anyway what so ever.
It would be more appropriate for us to all send letters to their editors, to point out any misconceptions or lies they use to give MMA a bad image. Now if they don't use any misconceptions or lies in their articles, then they are simply just expressing their opinion. An opinion which we as mature adults should accept as their's, and their's alone.
I personally like to read the words of those who do not share the same opinions or beliefs as I do. I like to know exactly what their argument is, and to keep an eye open just in case they start spreading lies. Know your enemy.
In my opinion, a blacklist will not affect them at all. More than half the time I wont know who wrote the article until I have loaded it from their website, therefor adding to their traffic. I would rather see people keeping an eye on their articles, waiting for any misconceptions or lies. When found, then take actions against it by notifying the editor (or supervisor), and also publishing your own articles in message boards and blogs regarding their incompetence for reporting accurate information.

We respect informed opinions, but cannot uninformed bashing.
These people spread lies by feeding the common misconceptions that people have of MMA.
Its been in my experience, these people only want to create publicity for themselves by bashing a popular and rapidly growing sport. They have chosen to form an opinion in their mind based mostly on misconceptions, and they don't desire to learn the truth.
Thus, intelligent letters won't open their eyes to the truth. They'll pick out the one letter from the moron who threatens to kick their a** for writing an article bashing MMA, and publicize it in their follow-up article.
We created the list to keep people informed of the known media t-rolls, to keep people from posting these articles all over internet forums, and to prevent giving these people the attention they're so desperately wanting.
